At the race and the cheer when Alonso got P1 in Q1 was immense! Hamilton in a class of his own and Palmer still has quite a bit of support from the stands. Not fair to judge him this race as his car doesn't have the upgrades Hulks does.

He's been far worse than hulk almost ever race. I personally don't see any good points. It's not as if hes fast but uncontrolled or something.

Don't think Hamilton will get a penalty as he is behind in the WDC.
But would make a great race. Which do the stewards think is better?

Because is one of those flexi rules that can be used to improve the entertainment

Ferrari International Assistance will probably give him a 5 place grid penalty for 2 reasons, 1> it will help Ferrari, obviously. 2> he won't be able to just drive off into the distance tomorrow so will make for a better race.

Stunning lap by Hamilton. Blew them away today.

Great cheer for Alonso for getting P1 in Q1 too. Brilliant. :D

I doubt they will do much to punish Hamilton. I'm still pretty certain they would have penalised Bottas for his jump-start in Austria, but it would have benefitted Vettel, and given that his Baku penalty was seen as leniant by some (I still think it was proportionate) they didn't wasnt to further anger the British fans at the British GP.

Drivers have been punished for less in the past, but given the tricky conditions they could well be leniant. A 3-place drop would be likely in any other conditions, but less likely today.

I'm with you, he's been nowhere all season. However good the upgrades are, they aren't worth a second, which is at least how far he's been behind Hulkenberg for 90% of the weekend (and not far off that for most of the season).

I have to agree with that.

But what a lap by Hamilton. Vettel is turning in to a right old moaner.

I bet if it was vettel he would have gotten punished for cutting Grosjean

come on stewards, do the right thing

5 spot grid penalty for Hamilton would be fair IMO
