The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

No/Driver 44 - Lewis Hamilton
Competitor Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team
Time 13:57
Session Qualifying
Fact Alledged Impeding by car 44 on car 8 in turn 16.
Offence Alleged breach of Article 31.6 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations
Decision No further action
Reason The Stewards examined video and telemetry evidence and concluded that while GRO may potentially have been affected by the presence of HAM at Turn 16, he was not impeded.

Epic lap by Hamilton and good work by Kimi to get in front of Vettel, although we all know the team will either move him over or screw up his strategy so The Finger™ will get 2nd place.

Shame Bottas had the grid penalty. Could have done with more cars between Ham and Vet, especially cars that won't pull over/get swapped.

Why does that surprise you? You honestly don't think Merc would do the same for Ham if he was that far ahead of bottas...don't be so naive.

You realise tomorrows race hasn't happened, and Tom already said that is what he thinks will happen..... but you're asking why this surprises him? I'll give you a hint, if he's saying what he thinks will happen tomorrow and that is what does happen it won't be a surprise to him.

As for if Merc would do it, again that is neither here nor there, you can dislike when both do it and talk about disliking if Ferrari do it tomorrow, although Tom also didn't say he would dislike it, he's just saying what he thinks will happen tomorrow.

I don't really care about team strategy in general though I'd prefer to see Kimi race however he does and see what he can do then if they need to change something at the end go ahead and do so.

Thanks DM, pretty much covered everything I was going to say. :)

For the record, I dislike team orders in general and even more so when a team sabotages their own driver's strategy to get the result they want.

Part of the reason Kimi is so far behind on points is down to the team doing that already this season.

Ferrari really can't develop a car. Way off the pace.

Depends how much of this weekend's qualy was down to Hamilton just being damn fast or Merc being that much ahead.

Bottas was behind both Ferrari's so I think the gap is less that we think ( I still think Merc have the edge, but a few tenths at best). I think Hamilton just pulled off a phenomenal lap.
