Why they didn't reschedule qualifying to start it earlier I've no idea. It clashed not only with the football but with the closing moments of the first stage of the Tour de France too. Just move it back an hour for a one off!

Races have always started 1400hrs local time, it was just that the UK was unusual in that they moved the race forwards an hour so that it was still 1400 in the rest of Europe. It now starts at the correct time.

Yeah, I hate this later start.

Have been avoiding F1, but watched Hamilton’s pole lap. My goodness Silverstone is fast now, basically full throttle for most of the lap.

Can see vettel winning this one. Too hot for Mercedes. Will probably just watch the start and then catch any highlights later.

More than that, it's regularly in the mid-late 5s since the MOAR AERO regs of 2017, with peaks of just over 6.

You do have to wonder how much more the driver can take. Go back to 1990 and 4G in the banked Peraltada corner at Mexico was viewed as extreme...

Shame next year could be the last British GP. Tracks are dropping off the calendar due to the backwards way F1 is funded. Most of the venues are making a loss thanks to Ecclestone.
