So yeah, Max is going to ****** off into the distance.

So tomorrow we will have

1 = Max
2 = Lewis
3 = Valtteri

on the podium.

This hasn't made it more exciting at all imo, pointless.

If anything it just makes me not want to bother watching the full length race lol.
 
Well that was... fluff... Give me a proper qualifying session instead.

Hell, you want friday and saturday to be more important? Have a Quali session on each day - lowest combined time gets pole. If it rains... it rains...
 
Well, I can’t see any outcome tomorrow other than Max running away with it. I would love to be proved wrong but I’m starting to come to the conclusion that this won’t be Hamilton’s year.…

Also, based on this race weekend, I think I prefer the usual quali format. If nothing else, the sprint race is acting like a spoiler for the main race.

We now know that the RBR is faster in race trim and Hamilton doesn’t have an answer to Max. Unless Merc can pull off something tactical or a mechanical issue decides it, today is just going to be a preview for tomorrow.

Ruined the race weekend, proper qualy for me was the most interesting part of the weekend. Absolutely idiotic weekend schedule...
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the normal race weekend.
 
I thought this was on at 6 for some reason... :D What did i miss? From reading these comments it feels like it was just a good way to see who's going to win tomorrow! :o:cry: Like pre-highlights
 
I think it would be better if they just had Qualifying on a Saturday and then 3 sprint races on Sunday based on qualifying position and get rid of the full races (they're rubbish without fuel strategies anyway). Go back to 10-6-4-3-2-1 points for top 6 finishers.
 
Not sure why people are saying it was dull, Alonso gaining that many places at the start was the most action i have seen in F1 for years lol
 
It's no really different to the main race.
And devalues qualifying a bit.

Feel it generally dilutes the weekend.
As someone said now we kind of know the race is going to play out like today.
And don't have the variation in tyres from the q2/q3 mismatch.

Worth a try but I actually think it's a bit detrimental.

Feels like watching highlights.

Careful I got told I was being too hasty when I was drawing those types of conclusions after the last race.. I agree myself but yeah some still live in hope, I guess if RB have some reliability issues it could close things up but most of the big teams are pretty reliable these days from what I can tell.
 
Think it shows f1 is a bit dull. Same issues as in the race. Cars can't really make most of it.

Let's have 10x 10 lap races. Because the first few laps are only good ones.
 
This parade lap is pointless. Instead of standing at the side waving to fans, they're talking to Button, and Hamilton is sulking in the corner so no one can see him anyway!

Not sure the Sprint stacks up for me.
 
Would this race be better if it had points down to 10th but no impact on Sunday? Ie Friday quali results applied to sprint and race? Then you have nothing to lose? Maybe these sprint races are just not worth risking things for?
