He was airborne after a few hundred yards, there was minor contact further down but lots of movement and he just got launched.

Russell went to check. So probably fine as Russell has gone back to his car. Doubt he would do that if there was a problem.

Perfectly normal for big accidents now, standard protocol as nobody knows the condition of the driver.
