Unfortunately for them, I don't think they've got the pace from anywhere so much as the 4 faster cars are having hiccups.

Straight undamaged Ferrari and Red Bull I think would be comfortable still.

Sainz car is not damaged and Hamilton was reeling him in. Lets not forget Mercedes were over a 1.5 seconds off the Ferrari at the start of the season. I honestly thought Mercs season was a write off but they have shown real pace this weekend.

He’s already used softs and mediums, not sure why they bothered with hards if he’s lost downforce.
