I don't think he did. There was plenty of time. He was only 2 seconds in front of Sainz.

Ferrari couldn't risk a double stack, so had to pick one. I'd be surprised if Leclerc didnt have first option.

Sainz is rubbish, and the Merc looks awful when the tyres are cold. Look at the start today with Lewis vs Norris. After the tyres warmed up Lewis pulled like a second a lap on Norris.
