Yeah he definitely could have won it without the safety car.

I doubt we’ll see it again but I’d love to see a replay of the MV/ Schumacher defending. They really need to stamp that **** out otherwise he’ll be doing it all season when it may decide the championship.
 
I really think Hamilton had the pace to win if it wasn’t for that safety car at the end.

Will be excellent for the season if Mercedes’ are competitive.

They didn't stop him doing it last year when they had the chance to punish him for brake checking, why would they now?

Yeah, but halfway competent/entertaining/likeable commentators made up for it.

Now, we just get crap commentary and the same crap camera direction with crappier graphics.
 
I think Merc have made some improvement, but honestly I think some of what we saw was Lewis simply being brilliant at his home circuit. It does seem clear that they are much better on a smooth proper race circuit too.

I still don't think the car is quite up there with the Ferrari, and certainly not the RB. The main issue seems to be the tyre warm up/window issue. The Merc always seems totally rubbish for quite a few laps on new/cold tyres. Ham dropped 5 seconds off the leaders at the start, then managed to match their pace for a bit, and then started to reel them in.
 
Leclerc radio - The amount of race time that we have lost in this race is... Oh my god. Only good thing about today is that Carlos won, but ***** **** guys. But anyway, enjoy the victory.

Just watched the replay: he wasn't "sticking his nose in" he was a full half car alongside. Russell has mirrors, and F1 drivers are expected to know who is alongside them and react accordingly.

First lap, I don't think it deserves a penalty but Russell is the driver at fault.

German TV didn't seem to have a problem - and they're baised AF - and Mick doesn't seem to have much of an issue so I guess it was okay? Looked dodgy to me but we didn't see much of it.
