yaaay, another thread.

I've been quick to jump on the Nokkon is a fanboy wagon for a long time.

But I've seen what he's been saying for well above a month now.

He's saying the PS3's are worse than older PS3s. But Newer 360s, are better than older 360s.

If we want to vs, Older 360's vs Newer PS3s, I think the failure rate is still worse for the 360s. BUT, Atleast 360's are getting better, Where as unfortunately PS3 seem to be getting worse

I've not seen a post about a new Premium or Arcade dying on here. (though I'm sure they have).

Warhawk can be a funny like that, its happened to me a few times but not recently, its possibly a connection issue.

Don't panic, it happens to me occasionally too. Once i decided to leave it and after around 3 mins i got a network timeout error and was kicked back to the login screen and logged out of the PSN, so i'm guessing its just a poorly handled connection error. The same thing happened in the burnout paradise demo once for me too.

Hopefully today firmware update will go some way to resolving it (as it's geared towards fixing online stability)

Ah right okay then, it just freezes with the music playing, can't like use the PS button or anything, have to do it by the button on the console.

Then when it's shutting down it gives a beep during the process for some reason, quite odd!

Well, the official word is it was to resolve online connectivity issues, but the large size of the patch indicates to me they also have some of the foundations of the big firmware update coming later this month within.

Well like I have said, I have had 2 Elite's go (but not RROD though), both newer Falcons. I didn't post because it would have just been 'JBeck the Sony fanboy stirring it again' replies. Maybe people now don't bother posting because they'll just get slated for doing so? Or maybe the newer 360's really are better, who knows.

TBH both still fail, always will. Whether the 360 rate of failure has fallen (which it has) or the PS3 failure rate has risen (i know the earlier 40gigs had this problem, but i heard the issue was resolved), what matters is that both consoles now have a failure rate that can be considered acceptable.

I actually think that countdown is a fake, it's domain name isn't related to Sony. If it IS legit (and i REALLY hope it is) then it's the countdown to the public beta, as a closed beta is already taking place.
