Are the 4080s overpriced though? They are the same price 3080s have been for the last 2 years. The FE at £650 were at such limited supply getting one was just a lottery win

we won't know how good value the 4080's are until AMD have reviews and pricing out as well. They will most likely drop in price though once the 30 series has sold out
Just pure performance the 16g looks fine, nice uplift from 3090. The 12gb is a bit of a sacrificial lamb though, probably just there to make 30 series more tempting until stock clears

Many feel outraged as it's not within 10-15% of the 4090 performance and not £650. Nvidia was just never going to repeat that mistake again - everyone knows the huge impact this had on retailers, distributers, transportation companies and production factories. Never ever again!

Wish the lottery was as easy would have won it twice got 2 used friends details for the 2nd one

It's fine if nvidia wanted to cut down the performance but then they should have been priced accordingly not seen prices double.

Imagine if next gen 5090 prices doubled and they used a 103/4 die for it would you not feel outraged?

He doesn't care think he is one of them that doesn't care if low / medium tier never existed and blindly loyal to Nvidia even if means getting screwed

Long time lurker first time poster!

I was all set to get some kind of 4090 next week, but now as I want to get it water blocked, I'm thinking my only choice is going to be waiting until either the Inno3D Frostbite is released, or getting an FE and pre-order the EK block. Main issue being anything air cooled (especially the STRIX before block becomes available) is gonna stick out right in front of the soft tubing coming out from the bottom rad (O11D-XL). Anyone else wanting a custom loop 4090? What's your thoughts?
