Community Fibre get 3Gb for £56. I don’t think the brsk package is value for money. With no direct competition in some areas they have the monopoly loloooo 2Gbps for £55 available almost double the price for the 1Gbps package
Latest published results shows that Community Fibre lost £140m last year, you can’t use their 3Gb pricing to determine that anybody who is more expensive per gigabit is therefore bad value for money, because the company won’t exist if that continues.
BRSKSo if CF and BRSK were in the same area and you had a network at home that could accommodate the speed:
CF offered 3Gb for £56
BRSK offered 2Gb for £55
Which one would you go for?
its a no brainer.
Bufferbloat test? https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat (on ethernet)
Now with the Betternet2000 service - Bufferbloat Grade APreviously on the 1Gbps using FQ_CoDel in Opnsense was getting an A+ rating.
I have now upgraded to the 2Gbps service also, at the same time switching to a Unifi UDM Pro. Am waiting for an SFP+ to RJ45 adapter, but for now this is my result - Bufferbloat Grade A.
Will test again once I can leverage the 2Gbps speed, but happy so far given that SQM is not possible/recommended for connections >300Mbps on the UDMP.
BRSK dropped off the TP-Link EX820v router they provide for the 2Gbps, so may try setting that up for a test when I have an empty house.
