Downgraded back to Ultrafast+ and got it cheaper then what I was paying for it before.
Did they reset your contract back to 18 months though?

Does anyone know a FTTP provider who use DHCP instead of PPPoE? Preferably a business connection with static IPv4 and IPv6 subnet. Openreach are live a street away now, I'm starting to shop around.
That's promising then. Ideally I want to go with Zen business but PPPoE would take some rejigging on my part I'd rather avoid if I can.Sky do I know that much. I think BT do as well on FTTP, a lot of the Openreach network is ready for IPoE now.
I think talk talk is DHCP on FTTP (bt).
EDIT: just checked my router and it is indeed set to DHCP
I’ve been with talk talk for years and never had a problem and their network is solid. The price has always been extremely competitive.Thanks. I'll have to check whether that carries over to TT Business, but I'm rather reluctant to sign up with TT compared to... most.
GFast is to your local cabinet, not the exchange. How far away is the cabinet?hello, anyone know why i am able to get g.fast at a 900m distance from the exchange? i thought it was up to 250m or so

its about 160m awayGFast is to your local cabinet, not the exchange. How far away is the cabinet?
So that’s why you can get GFast. Sadly it also means you’re unlikely to get FTTP any time soon.its about 160m away
why is it unlikely ill be getting fttp soon? ive been on the openreach website and put in my post code, and it says fttp is coming to my area?So that’s why you can get GFast. Sadly it also means you’re unlikely to get FTTP any time soon.

it doesnt really matter as im moving house soon to a place with only fttc, no gfast but thats fine
on the openreach website it says full fibre is coming to my area thoughBecause it's unlikely they will overbuild an area that already has better than standard FTTC installed
Not sure there's any correlation there. I know of an area that took until June 2019 to get FTTC, then got G.fast in 2020 and was upgraded to FTTP three weeks ago.Because it's unlikely they will overbuild an area that already has better than standard FTTC installed
