I woke up with no internet working at all. I rebooted the router and it is now working again.

Since my major issues I had when I first got infinity in April, I'v had 2 occasions until now when my dsl dropped.
Not bad 2 drop outs in 5-6 months?

Mine has had problems all day, currently maxing out at 550kbyte.
Definitely still going slow, if this is a common occurrence then I would rather be on adsl 2.

More than likely its the modem thats causing your issues.

BT handle the automatic updating of firmware on the modems/hubs?

and what do you base that on ? it was working perfectly ok for past month and now my modem just broke or what ?
It is just a poor quality and unstable connection. They are probably selling my bandwidth to someone else.

I base it on my own experiences.
When I first got Ininity, my speeds would go from 37 down to 4 over night..... eventually after about 4-5 weeks of this, my connection degraded to the point my dsl light was dropping and when it was on, it wouldnt stay on for more than 5 minutes before it dropped again.
In the end, modem replaced and now been stable since April, with only 2 dsl drops since then.

It is BT new way of traffic shaping, they just disable peoples accounts, there is no other explanation for it.
It is very unlikely that it is my equipment that all of sudden stopped working. That is exactly what the BT support would say. As I use pfsense and bridged mode they would very easily blame the setup and then they would say that i need to use the test account and take it out of bridge mode. A whole waste of my time.
Is this BT infinity still in testing or beta mode or what ? If it is a faulty modem then i am looking at least 3-4 hours on the phone, possibly about 7-10 phone calls, maybe a two months before i get it working.
Has there been anyone with infinity that has not had any problems?

OK could just be a one off problem in the area that has caused some problems.
A few weeks since BT repaired our line coming from the house to the post, absolutly no disconnections or drops in speed.
Result: A few hours ago, our upload has dropped down to 5mbps and download has dropped down to 12-20mbps :S
All I did was restart the router due to wireless issues and this has happened. I dont get it, we havnt restarted the moderm or anything.

I think BT are upgrading every exchange around bar the one I'm actually on to get this service. Not a lot wrong with my current BE value, but I'd deffo want the improved speeds.
Infact, what is BT infinity like for gaming? Did you notice improved pings. lower latency over your previous setup? Haven't really read much into that...
