BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

The openreach map shows my exchange as accepting orders.

This seems to have coincided with the checker now deciding I cannot get infinity after all :(
 
Might be the same as me Fox in terms of your cabinet not being activated fully yet. Check another address / phone number near you or a bit further away and see if they can order.

I had the same at parents house, after a few days or weeks (can't remember exactly now) it updated again and they were allowed to order.

Nowadays I'm not too sure to be honest, during the first few weeks I had Infinity it was throttled and recently I haven't seen a drop in speeds at "peak times" at all.

The checker is having an update and most people nationwide are having the same msg, don't worry fox it will be updated with new dates for better or worse.

My area was on the infinity website for ages as march 31st next year originally . Then they put all of yorkshire for next year to dec 31st. Obviously this was just placement dates til they sorted it out properly. The dates have all changed and my area is now dec 31st next year :mad:

It was the 31st Dec and now its "you got nowt".

Todge am cry if they change it too far :(

Just the same for me too. My exchange has been live since last March but my actual line dates have been moved back 3 times - currently to this December.

Have you found a new cabinet for your address? Back in September I thought they hadn't even put one in yet so I'd be waiting ages, but it turned out I was looking in the wrong place and what I thought was the old BT cabinet was actually a C&W box! I was pointed in the direction of my actual BT cabinet and was pretty excited to see that the new FTTC cab was already there. They've twice dug up the road to it and I keep walking past every few days to see if I can hear any noise coming from it but so far it's all quiet.

I'm actually losing interest now and was expecting the date to be shifted back again March 2012 but as a few have mentioned the BTwholesale checker has now stopped mentioning FTTC at all.

Do the same as me Headrat and contact ADSL24, and they'll be able to check if your cabinet has been done yet.
 
Well ive got an engineer coming out tomorrow, my speed dropped the other day from 37 down 10 up to 16 down 3 up. They found a fault on the line on there end, but its still not fixed. Arghhhhh
