BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Dynamic Line Management

It will adjust your profile in order to get the best speed/ connection for the line. That is why they allow 10 days for the line to settle. .

Ah, so no point ringing BT then?

Happy with the speeds, though slightly disappointed with the ping. Will have to see how it goes, at least it's constant unlike Virgin!

I took a photo of the ORs test thingy, was 88.6 down and 30.4 up.

I get 37 down on the BT speed checker.

And this when I run the diagnostics:

null

The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

Status: Showtime
Retrain Reason: 0
Max: Upstream rate = 32203 Kbps, Downstream rate = 101244 Kbps
Path: 0, Upstream rate = 10000 Kbps, Downstream rate = 39999 Kbps

From the unlocked modem.

Anyway to access it from my PC without having to connect to LAN 2? Ie NAT or somthing?

This is annoying me so much.

Interleaving is still on, and:

Code:
Max:	Upstream rate = 23351 Kbps, Downstream rate = 78452 Kbps
Path: 0, Upstream rate = 20000 Kbps, Downstream rate = 67200 Kbps

Rebooted my modem this morning and it went up a tiny little bit...

I want my missing 12mbps!!

Code:
 	Downstream	Upstream	Downstream	Upstream
Line rate (kbit/s)	67200 20000 0 0
CRC errors 3096 0 0 0
FEC errors 66 98 0 0
HEC errors 802 0 0 0

Is it possible to reset the DLM? If I ask Zen should they be able to do that?

Still, it's still pretty amazing to see 7.2 megabytes/second when downloading stuff

It didn't like me using Usenet! :(

I don't get spikes when I turn my QOS on and still able to pull 4.2MB/s - 4.3MB/s
