BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Not sure if anyone else has felt this. But since the adverts for Infinity 2 have come about. My internet (normal Infinity) seems to be going a bit slower than normal. Or is that just the subliminal messages in my head?
 
Can only speak for myself but I see no slow down, limit or cap regardless of time or day. A lot of it appears to be down to network activity within the area, go back a few pages and have a read mate as this has been covered a fair bit..

Well im definatly being limited, midnight and iv gone from about 300Kb to almost 5Mb, been getting progressivly worse all night as well.
Cant blame them, downloaded about 150gig through steam today.
 
went for the infinity 2 upgrade option and its no faster then my infinity 1. Upload is flat out but d/load between 1-40mb, constantly goes slow, was estimated 54/16

glad I dont pay more money for it!!!
 
Well the openreach guy is on his way here now.
Currently getting:

(granted thats using my phone but it's pretty much the same as my ADSL before I switched to BT)
Can't wait to see what I'll get after this is done, Est 33/5.9, would like a bit more really but thats still a heck of a jump up.

He's here now, currently stapling the extension kit in place.

Hmm it's been a week since I had Infinity installed. Estimated 42mbs down, 6.5mbs up.

When installed I was getting 38958 kbps down, 7263 kbps up and I didn't see any problems. Now I'm getting 33022 kbps down, 6707 kbps up. :( Will see what it's like in another 4 days but I guess there isn't anything I can do about it anyway.

Phoned them up today to ask about bt infinity 2, i was already on 37 down 10 up. Ill be getting about 70 download 20 up. Will take 3 days, and they said no extra charge

I should do, first off it was hitting 70/75mb d/load for the first few days. Now its all stablised, been about 3-4 weeks now, its a lot slower, no where near their estimate.

Been checking all day and holding around 40mb, except this morning was 6mb.
