So, I got up upgrade, but the real speeds are nowhere near what I'm supposed to reach.
Best I've seen so far:
I think it's possible that my trunk line (Windsor) is not up to scratch. I've /never/ seen a 9ms ping like @Dave777 there, I'm always in the low 20

Did anyone else who swapped over to the faster infinty receive an email about applying for the SamKnows Broadband Performance Measurement Study, in association with Ofcom? I filled it out and today have been accepted, not sure if it's worth the hassle though, anyone ever done it before?
I got the email the other day but I've not had a chance to look into the details yet.

Yeah, well it looks like it's BT they want to monitor. Part of me is saying do it as if anything goes wrong with my connection BT are gonna sort it quick

Yes, I got an email on 1st May and have applied but as yet I have not heard back from samknows as to whether I have been accepted.

Edit:- Have just checked my email and I have been accepted. They just need me to do a speedtest from a link they have supplied, but will have to wait until I get home to do it.

Got my upgrade to the faster Infinity last week Weee it's fast. Close to 20mb upload and I'm getting just under 9mb/s download transfer while running Newsleecher Before the upgrade I was getting 4.5mb/s so it's roughly doubled in speed. Yay!

I just did, as there's no commitment I can always send everything back if I'm not happy for any reason.

When you click on the link it carries out the speed test straight away (result is at bottom of page)

Oh forgot to ask you two guys (without going back through the thread), what is your connection like since swapping over? I'm curious to see if anyone that's had issues gets an invite.
Mine line has been stable and I'm getting 76 down and 16 up. I couldn't be happier.

Yeah mine has been stable, just shy of 75 down and around 17 up.
