Seem to be getting buffering on bbc iplayer (bbc one live).. anyone else have this problem?

Everything's fine for me. No problems at all, just powered some usenet as well and it was as normal.

It buffered for the first minute or so but just watched it for an hour and it was fine throughout no buffers.

Must say since my move from Virgin it has been perfect, really impressed.

If I was to hack my modem how would I put it back again to "normal" state?

I want to see stats of my connection etc but If say I need an engineer in the future for w/e reason how would I put it back?

I have been in touch with power at be, and tbh they are saying there is nothing they can do and it's congestion. I haven't paid my bill yet so we will see where that goes with not supplying a service I'm paying for.

If thats congestion its localised to be? theres no way BT is that congested your dropping ~70mbit.

My ping seems a little high dont you's think ?

This was fitted in my new home on the 27th coming from the previous home i was getting 35Mb/6.5Mb on infinity option 2 so its doubled.

Sub 20ms is fine. You're probably being routed via Sheffield which seems to be a common thing. I did try and raise this with their executive complaints but didn't get very far with it.

On the mention of Sheffield, all data is moved via Sheffield it is the main routing location for our network onto the back of the Colossus network.

This was from them to me. Seems bonkers to me that data originating in London routes via Sheffield and then back to London.

Other FTTC providers don't suffer from this.

But i game a lot on my xbox and pc and already am having murders with Black Ops 2 and the lag compensation.

Struggle to find a decent game with it on search for best servers.

I get a constant 17ms to UK servers and up to 30 ms to European game servers. My GF could be streaming and I could be downloading from Usenet and I never notice any lag unless it's game side.
