Did you check what other wifi connections are using nearby though and then change the HH3 to use a vacant channel ?
Just checked mate and I'm on a different channel (11) that nobody else is using.

This is what I'd do:
- Get a modified Solwise NTE5 faceplate. Fit this to the true master.
- Wire the extension you want to be the new master to the AB terminals on the rear of the modified faceplate (this will pass the signal through to the extension socket untouched). Regular BT faceplates don't offer this.
- Then, get another faceplate, whack this on your new extension, and wire the remaining extensions on the rear of this faceplate in the normal fashion.
E.g. Line -- Master --AB on faceplate -- Extension 1 --- regular "2 and 5" IDC terminals on second faceplate -- Extensions 2,3,4
Right guys, I'm home and I'm barely hitting the 1mb/sIs there any point in ringing BT? I ask as it was only installed yday and I noticed on their site that it could take 10 days for the speed to settle etc.
Is this a wired test?
you need to test via ethernet cable.
This is my wireless test just now

and this is what I get when connected via ethernet

If it is because it's wireless then I'm fooked as I can't connect via ethernet as I'm not allowed to run a cable downstairs![]()
Just tell your Mum that you MUST test it with a cable to make sure its working properly.
Sorry but you need to do this otherwise its pointless going any further with this.
I understand this and I'm going to do it but I won't be able to have the cable there permanently. If the speed is faster with the cable, what can I do?
Get a decent wireless n spec PCI card
BT seem to be very inconsistent mate don't they?
