Speak for yourself lmao.

:D

Yup, that's why it's ok for someone worth billions to say zero hour contracts are a great idea. Cause i'm sure they'll be the ones suffering as a result of them.

Who is this 'someone' who is worth billions that said 'zero hour contracts are a fantastic idea?'

110 morons.

THEY PULL IN TOURISTS THAT GENERATE REVENUE DIDNT YOU KNOW!

lol, you think people visit england to see buckingham palace?

Sure they will visit if visiting london, but they wont stop coming if buckingham palace was destroyed in a fire or something.

You will be surprised how many people do actually come to this country to purely see these attractions.

Then we got to factor in how many tourists we get extra during Royal Jubilee's/ Weddings/ births, etc.

Then the tacky merchandise that a lot of people seem to go crazy for.

Whether you like the royals or not... the fact is they have a huge following and generate a great income for the country.

I don't object to a refurb, but I wouldn't donate over and above taxation.

And, furthermore, I can imagine that at least some of the money spent on refurbing the inside will be wasted. Do they really need every single room in brand-new condition? I suspect a fair few are barely used.

So the queen said she endorses them?

You're losing me.

Are you on a zero hours contract by any chance?

No I'm not.

Initially yes, but there was backlash so I think there was something later mentioned about reforming them, but it was back when David Cameron was backing them as well. I just remember laughing at it.

That surprises me. Your 'passion' regarding them had me convinced otherwise...

You are employed though..?

Anyways I digress. My thoughts are outlined in post #148.

Yep,

What I find more interesting is what do any of these questions have to do with my posts highlighting these issues. Either way nothing to do with this thread, but I brought up those points and said to that guy you don't have to wonder why people may get angry when reading posts like this.

Do I have to be a zero hour contract worker to stand up and say they're ********? nope I just need to know enough about them.

Not many people see the inside so we can just do a brilliant refurb of the outside that the millions of visitors see and get Sarah Beeny in to throw a few cheap drapes around the place and do a token "refurb" inside. :p

Oh no reason for the questions. Was just occupying myself during my lunchtime and thought I would at least figure out why you are so passionate about them, enough so to go off at a massive tangent on this thread.

My thoughts re the thread are as previously said.

My thoughts regarding zero hour contracts; they have a place. Are they being abused? In a lot of cases yes. Are they the devil? No, they work for some people. Are the in need of an overhaul? Definitely.

So much butthurt in this thread :)

God save our gracious Queen
Long live our noble Queen
God save The Queen
Send her victorious
Happy and glorious
Long to reign over us
God save The Queen
