I see more 'spec me a cheap car to run car' threads what will turn into a massive debates.
And big engine cars losing a lot of value on the second hand market. Already happening though I suppose.

Amateur hypothetical question here-
When they say "Income tax will go up by 1p from April 2013" they actually mean 1p in the £, which is obviously 1%, don't they?
So when they say "Fuel duty up by 4p" is that 'in the pound' (percentage) or is it per litre real money increase? Because if it's 'in the pound, then it's going to be closer to 6p per litre increase.
Does the same apply to pints and spirits etc?
So petrol will rise to be around £1.45 a litre? Lovely. NI apparently has the most expensive petrol prices in the whole of the EU.
NI also has a massive issue with black market fuel. Same as increasing tobacco taxes massively, it just drives it underground.
