budget build

Good to see. I'm a bit sceptical of the temp the CPU is reporting as 14C is lower than the surround temp. Unless you've got the rad for it in a very cold room it's not possible.

yea hw monitor, corsair link and speccy give the same readings as I was a bit sceptical my self but ive been told that the fx chips don't give a very accurate reading when down in the low temps.
the radiator is sitting right at the front so it is pulling in cold air but I know its not as cold as reported.

just ordered a new set of speakers..

not sure what folk will think on here but my mates got a set and I was really impressed on the sound from them.

I have thought about just removing the hard drive bays but this seems to be working ok.
the second fan here does make a difference. its dropped my case temps down by 2c drops my hard drive 3c and lets the 7950 idle at 30c rather than 32c to 33c

so the swap of the internals went ahead lastnight and everything went to plan until I tried to boot it up..
it wouldn't post!! so I checked all the connections and re-seated the ram and gpu but still no post..
so I thought the sabertooth may not have survived the swap.
I had a gigabyte 990xa ud3 board with the phenom ii x6 1090t installed so I tested that and it posted.
I then removed the FX-8350 from the sabertooth and fitted it to the 990xa ud3 and tried it again.. no joy it wouldn't post. I reset the bios just incase but still no joy.
I then fitted the 1090t to the sabertooth and hey let there be life!! so my FX-8350 has went south :(
at least im still up and running.

so I had been planning on an upgrade from the 7950 next but looks like that's on hold as im now in the market for a new CPU.. Im thinking along the lines of a 9370 or 9590 but time will tell.

Is the green card wifi? I ended up plasti-dipping my TP Link wireless card as the green looked horrible. Looks almost hidden now.

yea the green card does stand out a bit.. Ill need to go looking for a new wifi card me thinks..

I have been tempted to go down the Intel route and might just keep my eyes open for a nice bundle
