Does anyone know how far away from release this game is?

I keep thinking it is abandoned and then we get an update like this

Was talk of final version release this month, but after June release and seeing there was a lot to be done yet, the community told Bugbear don't release final version in Dec unless Wreckfest is ready for prime time. Bugbear had said back this spring, maybe a Dec release for final version, console versions early 2018.

As we seen with the Dec Build, Wreckfest come along ways from June Build, but still need work. We on our second hotfix this week. And we ask for a few changes in the feedback threads. We will see if that happens.

Now Bugbear hinting at a 1st quarter release, so maybe in March?

I will be taking a lot of video online this Saturday night. Will post my video next week. Thanks to paint customization in-game now and a little skin tweaking, this what my current car looking like in Wreckfest:

How do we do skin vehicles ?

Also does it work online ?

Go to the Garage, select a car, then click the Paint option to change the color of the car. Most the cars have 2 parts to the skin so you can paint each part of skin a different color.

Now if want a custom number, need make friends with a skinner or learn how do custom skins.

Custom skins online are only seen by you unless you hosting a mod like Cops and Robbers that has custom skins in the mod, then all players will see the custom skin you pick.

is the career mode unavaible atm? cos i couldnt start a series/race in career mode and dont know why.

Got have the right car, like a C class car. Career mode right now not doing good job of explaining this. Lots of posts about this issue.

The new Dec 2017 update been out almost a month now ( plus 3 hotfixes ) and Wreckfest now getting a lot of good reviews from new and old players.

I've been following it for about 2 years, always wanting to buy it but listening to the reviews and staying away. When I checked it two weeks or so ago when it was 20% off or so, the reviews had shifted and said it's finally worth playing, so I picked it up.

I've been having a blast. The single player is bare bones and gets boring quickly but is a good way to build coin and get free♥♥♥♥♥♥ Multiplayer is great and the servers are fairly populated. Many are in Europe so I get terrible ping and the physics become wonky, but whenever there is a US game going on it's great.

Gameplay is pretty much Grid 2 Hardcore mode with people not giving any ♥♥♥♥♥ about driving fairly. It's a lot of fun.

I'm at 16 hours played or so, have access to competitive cars, and it's looking like I'll be playing this one for awhile.

You can always refund within 2 hours of gameplay, if you're going to buy it I'd recommend only starting it up at times when you're likely to be online and wanting to play to see if there are populated servers at that time, and stick to online for those 2 hours. If you love it, then do single player for a bit before buying anything, as a lot of things you can buy with your money are given free in 1P.

Just re-installed this after reading about the some what basic career mode being available now, and wow there has been quite a few improvements since i last played...

one quick question though, how do i set up a lawn mower only race, there great fun to drive, but whenever i set a track and my car to lawn mower, i set the AI to lawn mowers also, start the race then find im the only one in a lawn mower.

Am i missing something :S

Seem there bug with the AI lawnmovers, maybe get fix in next hotfit. Maybe hotfix out by Friday.

well i've just fired it up again, last time I played was over a year ago and it was in the same state it had been for 3 years. Rumour was it was abandoned so uninstalled it.

Thanks to this thread I've not wasted 11.3gb of my download time. The devs have actually finished the game without telling anyone.

Finally a career mode, new cars, modding. All the things they promised then ignored for 3 years of early access actually happened seemingly overnight.

I can't help but think this has had so much bad press due to incompetence, but the steam reviews seem good so hopefully the devs get the reward they deserve

Then you must not been checking Bugbear forum or this thread very often, Bugbear posted plenty of stuff here over the years:

But there been a few times where Bugbear went quiet for couple months.

is there anyway to get multiple devices working in the game? my wheel pedals and shifter are all seperate

In older Builds, 4 USB devices were supported. Janne say now Wreckfest supports, see, 12 USB devices. A lot of players been using their sim rig to play Wreckfest.

Can try Wreckfest for 2 hours and see if your wheel setup works fine. If it don't, get the Steam refund.

Ya End the guy you want read all his posts. He done over 40 tracks now for Wreckfest using 3d Max. He the best track maker we got. Suggest you start a thread at Bugbear forum if you want some help.

I cheat and use the stock Wreckfest tracks to make my custom tracks.

I've been playing this recently after buying it a long time ago when it had pretty much just come out, probably not touched it in a couple years.

Anyway I can't change the graphics quality, it's always stuck on low. Is it intentional like it auto selects the best settings for you and that's it?

Running 6600k, 16gb and 1060 6gb.

You are not able to go into each graphic setting and set it to off, Low, Medium, High or Ultra?

There 5 triers to career mode, I now on 4th trier and all the races so far are 6 laps. Not sure if 6 laps are a good thing, can you race 6 good laps and not screw up? I was on 4th lap, about 4th place and screwed up and 5 AI cars pass me!!!

Bugbear still working on a new PC update ( with bug fixes and some new content ), should be out before Christmas.

Yes, we're still very much alive and working with the game. While the console versions are a priority right now the PC crowd has not been forgotten - you can expect a game update very soon.

Got my Suicide track pack redone and now working with current version of Wreckfest.

Been a long 2 year wait since I last got to race my Suicide track pack mod online. Here video of me hosting Suicide and my Fig8 mod online, Nov 10.

Also End has added another great custom track to
The Very TrackPack released! mod last week.
