Build a large permanent brick one that you could cook half a cow on in your garden so that it may remain there for all time as a testament to your manhood!
Its not finished there, theres random bricks and stuff iv stuck in the coal bit to stop it from overflowing n stuff, its finished now but the father kinda *******ised it.. well in my opinion
To be honest just design your own badboy, although im likin the oil drum, its a decent mid-term solution.
I cant remember who it was but im sure I know someone whos ripped part of an engine cover off a disused harrier for a bbq
Very nice, you'v just given me some ideas for when I eventually get a property, I think the pizza oven will be right after the hot tub....
Vote lib dem so I can have a payrise and get this project underway
Right welded the lid on, not a very neat job. As the cutting the barrel in half was not very straight. something to rectify when I make version 2.
Has anyone got a rotisserie bbq?
Was wondering how far the spline was from teh nearest side?
I assume it needs to go as far away from the charcoal as possible, but obviously you need a good gap between the meat and the lid. Any idea what the largest diameter part of a suckling pig will be.
yes that inside plank is burnt , it was absolutely fine with charcoal, but filled the drum totally with wood, to burn out teh residue oil from the lid, it all got a bit hot.
No. Just no. I've done this twice with students (granted students are idiots) and out of the 4 BBQs we've used from a pound shop in total, non of them have EVER lit first time and have all managed to make the occasion more of a farse than it was worth.
At least get BBQs from sainsburys or something. 2 for 6 quid. It's worth it I swear.
Don't even do this. Get a real braai/bbq and you won't want to go back to cooking on the disposable ones! The ONLY thing they are good for is to get a real fire going when you're feeling lazy.
The charcoal in the disposable ones sucks too, you can easily cook for 3-4 hours with some decent wood and briquettes.
