yes thats the stuff,read your manual to see which slots they go into on the otherboard

Yeah thats the RAM (memory). It can only fit into the memory slot one way round. Both RAM sticks will need to go into the same colour memory slots (ie both in blue or both in white). As above look at you manual to find out which ones they should be in (blue or white).

I can't even see in the manual which colour they go in (mainly due to the font being too small in the manual) anyway else i can find out?

Most reliable place to find it is in the motherboard manual! Magnifying glass? look for manual on Gigabytes website and zoom in?

Here you go. Just make sure its the same motherboard.

Bottom of page 16 for your reference. BOTH IN EITHER BLUE OR WHITE.

We had to stop for a whbut back working on it now, we are at step 5 on the guide and putting the front panel headers into the bottom right of the motherboard.

How do you know which way they go in and where they go in?

for the HDD LED which the plus and which is the minus from the black and red?

Seems like you've sorted the front panel headers, but incase you haven't (or come up with another problem) It should say in the manual which pins are which (including which is the positive, and which the negative terminals (if applicable), and all the headers should say on them what they are too. Can be a little fiddly, but quite straight forward (as long as the manual was made well

)

I'm just about to connect the hard drive but it doesn't seem to have came with a SATA cable as the CD/DVDRW did (hard drive was the only thing that didn't come in a box) and it came in bubble wrap. with no cable. have they forgot to put it in?

This will be OEM, in short it does not come in retail box etc. However, SATA cables will come with the motherboard.

Check you motherboard box, you should have a few SATA cables which look like this

Not if they are the same on both ends.

One may be a SATA 3 cable or and eSATA (external SATA). Try the red one.

does the graphics card go on the pci slot that says pci express below it or the one that says energy saver above it?
