Building Oblivion

I hated Streamline. I was getting constant messages in the top left. Saving spam. And why would you set default Streamline hotkey as ctrl, which is the default key for sneak? Madness. Kept on fast-exiting my game whenever I went into sneak mode. Goodbye Streamline.

Er, it was right Ctrl and Home...

By the sound of it its been a long time since you tried it. I had a look in the options (the 1 time it worked) and they had default off options for messages on autosaving, saves every 10 minutes in normal situations not on low hp. I did accidently press 'fast quit' thinking it was related to fast exit and now i can't get the menu working again :p

I think the mod manages the ini file itself and overwrote your changes. Check your load order with Boss, try deleting the sl.ini then CTRL+HOME.

CTRL+Otherkeys unused by Oblivion :) I just disabled most of it, then rebound my F5 key to Streamline quicksave, and have an auto save every 15 minutes if not in danger. I mostly installed it for when my game was crashing frequently, and have stuck with it.

I don't get you. Though i guess i don't really need to access the in game menu anyway since i could just change everything through the sl.ini. Main thing is the game doesn't seem to stutter (i'll have to properly play it at some point) and it won't crash on exit. Would be tempting to add in some of the other mods like Kvatch Rebuilt and Better Cities but i don't wanna risk major conflicts with FCOM that need a reinstall.

It seemed to overwrite the changes I had made manually on my install, maybe will look at it some more when I get the time. Try checking the thread on Tesnexus...
 
The guide is complete up to and including People, outstanding is some work on Audio and some recommended mods.
 
this guide is great, i have most of these installed now and i can post a video here that i will be uploading soon if you want/let me? lovin your work btw
 
vid should be done in next day or so. have you gave obge v2 ago with the shader pack, it reduces your system to a pulp at best of times with these mods installed, but imo with ssao on and other shaders on the game looks amazing, i managed to get down to around 7 fps :( but i highly recommend it sorry for mistakes, phone

I've played around with it, it's not included in this guide because of the negative impact on Stability. I couldn't alt-tab out of the game with either brand of graphics card. Will keep an eye on it and see if that changes. They are doing some really interesting stuff with the shaders tho, some good work going on with adding real shadows to the world and much better water.

It's a family forum, you can always take your knickers off and run around in the buff. The monsters wont mind. :)
