Bum! Excel 2007 help?

We have a spreadsheet...That for some reason types # instead of £ and / instead of #...

It only effects this spreadsheet...Checked keyboard and language...Both are UK English.

Any ideas?

You checked the language setting inside excel or is that what you meant when you said you've already looked?

If not, start, microsoft office, ms office tools then language?

Tried it - it only affects this spreadsheet though

Even if I open a new sheet in this instance of Excel, it doesn't have the problem... :/

Right click on cells, cell format, set to text or special?

Is this a pre-created spreadsheet then? I.e. it has some data already there which you need to keep? If so, try copying the data to another spreadsheet and see what happens.

set to currency, make sure symbol is set to £ maybe?
