Got my 1st house 2 months ago and it needed a lot of renovation, as I bought it off the family of a deceased old lady. It's a 1960s 3 bed bungalow with a rather odd layout currently (more on that later).

Unfortunately the estate agents photo paints it nicer than it is! I still need to do a lot of work of the outside
Bedroom 1:
After the ugly built in cupboard removed (and the old spiders/tarantulas that lay behind!!!):
Fresh lick of white paint
Latest :
Wallpaper & Coving removed, new paint straight onto the old plaster. Lots of polyfilla and sanding inbetween! Also got 2 new sockets in beside the feature wall where we will be putting the bed.
Carpets still to go down, and touch up paint after putting in new coving (I don't particularly like coving, but needed to cover up the marks from the old coving :O)
Living room:
This is a large ~6.3m by ~4m room with a big fireplace we'll need to get a burner in next year/when we have more cash...
Picture of the old non fireplace side of the living room. I intend to put my tv stuff on this side and have a dining table in front of the fire.
Painted walls, and lots of washing. Very difficult with 14ft high vaulted ceilings!
I'm going to be fitting an engineered wood floor to this room, hopefully next week
Hallway:
Hallway to bedrooms 1>3 and bathroom
Wallpaper stripped, edging removed and freshly painted
New lights have been/ will be added throughout (by me
). I'm glad I'm not a sparky!
Currently it's also not got a working boiler which will be replaced soon! (rerouted from the garage to the kitchen)
I'll try get this updated and some more before photos of the living room/hallway... (It's a 3 bedroom place but I plan to tackle the other 2 next year..)
Plans
•Carpets fitted to bedroom and hallway (should be in ~3 weeks)
•Next year I will be knocking down 2 structural walls and opening up the kitchen/entrance space (~3m by 2m). •Currently the entrance is into a large unused hallway space off the kitchen, I intend to walk into one large kitchen room.
•Bedroom 2 & 3 need doing
•Garden needs a serious looking at/de weeding
•Add log burner/similar to living room
•Fix the pointing and roof issues
