Burnout Paradise developers talk 360 v PS3

Why the hell does it matter anyway, with third party games nowadays its all down to console preference and controller preference as the gameplay is exactly the same. It's not like Skate. where the Xbox version was vastly superior.

P.S Nokkon, I played Unreal 3 with my mates SixAxis and it was terrible!

I'll be getting the 360 version simply due to Live, Sonys online system is still awful in comparison

In terms of IQ, I'd say Sony ever so slightly edged it this time, it just seemed a cleaner image

How is it still awful, I was able to get online and play with my mates just as easy on one version as I was on the other ........ misinformation for the lose.

I can get online too, but the way it's implemented is awful in comparison to Live, misreading the post for the lose

Implemented ? , do you mean in Burnout or altogether ? .... because the online implementation in Burnout Paradise is identical on both platforms.

Overall

I want to have the option to chat to my mates who arent playing Burnout while I am like I do very often when I'm online. And until I can do that on the PS3, I'll be getting the 360 version of games when its out on both platforms

Apart from the friends list maybe?

Anyway the 360 version looked better to me, and yes played both, AF on the PS3 version was rather lacking and blurry white lines everywhere, while the 360 kept them nice and crisp a lot longer and deeper, maybe people don't notice it. Have a little drive about slowly and you can see the 360 version is a bit better.

couldnt see any difference in that video but maybe will see a difference in the HD full screen comparison version

;)

I'm gunna see if I can get me some of those fanboy tinted specs to sort out sharpness issues!

EDIT: You know what, I am going to load the Burnout Paradise demo right now, and see if I can spot blurry white lines everywhere!

EDIT2: Well, I'm looking hard, I have my car pointing down a straight piece of road, and aside from some aliasing which could be better, I can't see any issues with blurry white lines. They look pin sharp, and I have my face right up close to the screen to scrutinize it. As they get into the horizon, they blur a bit, maybe that's what you mean?

EDIT3: I give up. I tried EDIT2 in a static position. I've tried driving around at a very slow speed, as with some older games, when things get closer, you could see the quality suddenly improve when things get closer. I was watching the white lines like a hawk, but can't see the difference as I'm driving around. It's not going to make me cancel my pre-order anyway ;)

Live feels better :p

I see.

Can you explain why this is?

At the moment I have the Burnout Paradise demo loaded. (PS3)
I'm driving around, I can see other people driving around.
No lag, no problems.

Feels fine to me, but I've not played the 360 version to compare it to.
Seeing as I can borrow the 360 I mentioned above, I think I may have to, to see what it is people are going on about!
