Button 'targeted by Ferrari'

You think Damon Hill earnt more money at Arrows for one season than he would have earnt had he stayed at Williams? He was put out because they wouldn't pay him stupid money to stay.

Who are these footballers who sell out for one final big payday? Players that move on for loads of money knowing they will be a squad player and not a first choice selection?

Button to Ferrari would know he was a squad player and not the first choice. As you can see the two scenario don't really compare directly.

I think he was actually refering to DH trying to get megamoney out of Williams (which as you said didnt work - and to his credit DH has recently claimed it was his error all along for not knowing "how the game was played".

The sad thing imo is that his Arrows drive in Hungary deserved the win, and if that had happened that year would have been a success (even if it was minor compared to the year previous). At least he got the Jordan deal and that mega drive in Spa to look back on (and a few others in the "buzzin hornets")

That Arrows was a real piece of **** for majority of the '97 season though
