Buyer's remorse?

That stuff needs to come with a scourer to get under your fingernails after use, it's a false economy.

My hemorrhoids and bumhole scabs 100% agree with you lol

The worst toilet paper I ever used had the consistency of very thick tracing paper. It had no "soft tissue like" absorbent qualities at all and was like wiping your bum with a plastic carrier bag. I was sore and chapped for months after using that every day.

Loads of things!

Probably one of my worst, and most expensive is buying my Evo 9GT. It was overpriced and doesn't have a flawless history and I still bought it.

My 2nd worst is paying house deposit money for the engine rebuild it didn't need

newspaper, 2-3 firelighters, coal, kindling
3 firelighters - 36p
1 long match - 2p
kindling - 37p (based on the cost of a bag of kindling, divided by roughly how many fires I can start from one bag)

That's assuming just one match and that the fire goes properly each time (which it often doesn't). So 75p to start a fire.

£150 for the fire starter, it's gonna start first time, every time, it's cleaner, significantly quicker and no need to keep smelly firelighters or bags of wood. At current energy costs, the starter costs 2p to run.

Therefore after roughly 200 fires, it's paid for.

So I think it's justified but despite all that, I'm still hesitating. It's the sort of thing that I'd probably initially have buyers remorse over but once I actually start using it, I'll wonder why I didn't get it before.

Damnit.

I remember feeling buyers remorse on several occasions, but I now can't remember what it was I bought that made me feel it.

I loathe spending money as I don't really have much of it. But then happily go out for beers with friends, takeaways regularly (less so nowadays since I found me a new girlfriend).

Sometimes just have to think F-it. Cant take it with you.

Amazon returns has helped a lot over the years. Minimised the pain right down.

Though saying that I bought a APC UPS as it was a great deal, but almost 2 years in I still haven't set it up.

Buyers Remorse:
Struggling on that one.. I always research and it doesn't take much to know if it's something I want or will make MY life easier and history seems to show I do well.

Similar argument over an instant boil hot water tap.. I was happy paying £800 for that bit of convenience and to have one less item cluttering up the sides.. Everyman and his dog told me they are too expensive, blah, blah, blah.. But I absolutely love it..
As long as you know it works and is reliable, do it!

As a kid, we only had a coal fire, the novelty of lighting it wore off rather quickly..

Genuinely made me laugh! Even I'd have buyers remorse on that one..

Getting a degree. Blair's Labour party over-sold degrees to the point where everyone and his dog had degrees by the early 2000s. Most graduates ended up on irrelevant career paths.

All I have to show for it now is a £20k+ student loan.

Absolutely agreed. "Access to education" just meant degrees ended up bring worthless and everyone was saddled with debt.

wtf. Get a bidet. Bumhole scabs!!!

I would also have buyers remorse on cheap toilet roll. It's unacceptable.

I regret buying a cheap hotpoint fridge. Works fine and all, but it's a little noisy and the drain at the back got blocked with gunk within a year which I don't remember happening with any other fridge I've used. Also an actual temperature display would be nice too rather than just different settings. Wish I (& would have had to convince gf too...) had spent a bit more on something better.

A couple of power tools (especially a reciprocating saw and a circular saw) I bought with the intention of using 'at some point' or for a couple of things I didn't end up doing but have now sat unused for a couple of years.

A USB-C SD card reader. It's not designed well as it has a short rigid bit of cable between the plug and the body which means it stcks out a fair bit but doesn't actually give much flexibility, and gets a bit of leverage when you plug it in so ends up coming out of sideways USB-C slots quite easily. Basically it's a bad design and a bog standard usb-stick sized adapter would have been much better.

That's all that comes to mind in the past couple of years really though. Have managed to return everything else that failed / didn't live up to expectations.

I have noticed that the last loo rolls to sell out at Lidl are Cushelle as they are most expensive but are the best -no cleaning finger nails out after.
My major regrets over my life was changing from HiFi to Surround sound. Sound effects were good but mine never had the quality of HiFi.

A Zappiti Reference Media Player. Still have it, great picture but man is the UI slow and glitchy for a premium product.

1.\ A GT1030 GDDR5 when I had my first PC which was a Dell Opti 7010.

2.\ A £200 shaver that was outclassed by a butter knife.

3.\ Devils Lettuce. If I had spent all the money over the years I'd have easily the very latest and best PC and maybe a Rolls Royce. Yes, I have quit, at least until later.

4.\ A cat named Reggie who literally 2 days ago ****** in my Yamaha AV amp and blew it up. Still love the little git and won't be getting rid as animals are for life.
