Buyer's remorse?

A cpu that happened to be the best price at the time, the trouble is it took so long to arrive AMD dropped the prices everywhere and I could have had it £30 cheaper and next day to boot, they were not the easiest people to contact and it had already been "despatched" by that point. Guess you'd call that karma. Or maybe just unlucky.

HSBC were doing a student bank account offer where you could choose a sign-up gift of either:

MP3 player
£50
Something else that I’ve forgotten about

I went for the MP3 player and it was the worst piece of tat I’ve ever used. Awful interface, tiny capacity, and terrible software.

I would have been much better taking the £50.

It still bugs me now.

Got another one.

My dslr kit.

Never really liked the hassle of the processing and now always end up just using my phone (easier).

I still have most of the kit. I should just sell. It. But what if I get back into it? Probably won't.

You buy the materialistic stuff = more likely to lead to buyers remorse

You buy memories and experiences = less likely to lead to buyers remorse.

Degree as someone else said. I hate being in any sort of debt. It'll be done in another 8 years or something ... also my jobs nothing related.

A Lenovo smart clock. Basically doesn't work.

PS5. Too much coil whine. Sold it

Dark souls 3 at launch..... I've just played from software games since basically....

I bought a house with a huge garden, expecting to spend my evenings relaxing in a deckchair.

Instead, it's more work than I can handle, and it just keeps on growing. Every time there is a storm and a tree blows down it is a huge amount of new work.

I understand completely. Just tell people you are letting it return to nature for environmental reasons. The horticultural equivalent of "shabby chic" :)

Sainsburys own brand washing detergent. It was on special offer, but much to my distress, it took a severe dislike to my testicles :(
We clean our bodies in the shower.

We clean our clothes in a washing machine.

Do you see a difference there Rob? Do not put your balls in the washing machine nor your clothes in the shower.

Probably every phone I've ever had but I now have the phone I really want.

Most of my Buyers Remorse is music gear, stuff I paid a fortune for and never used
eg Korg Trinity cost around £1700 and never used.
A £600 8 track Zoom digital studio and never turned it on.
There's quite a few.

Virtually all tech gear over the last 40 years I do my homework and usually make spreadsheets detailing fors and againsts.
At the moment I'm searching for a digital 16 track mixer for live gigs.
