*******C.A.R.S - Community Assisted Race Sim*********

AI got a lot of tweaking, sadly they still crash into and now, they seem to wobble like ducks learning to fly for the first time, its really annoying when they wobble into you.. So the AI is really not there yet.

Also, my 7970m is really struggling with the latest builds. But I'm looking at a new desktop now anyhow, so that might soon be resolved. Laptops really aren't true desktop replacements, despite what laptop gamers say, we say it to justify the expensive outlay for good gaming laptops I reckon : - )

Anyhow, some screenshots, might not be the best, as I've had to knock some GFX settings now down, due to my laptop really struggling at upper top settings.

Good looking game IMO. Just need to get the AI working better and some more cars into the game, pits working etc... Despite what some on this forum say about Project Cars, I like the game. It has great potential.

And all my screenshots are un-edited, no sweetFX and taken from the settings I use to get above 30fps or more on my 7970m GPU in my laptop. someone with a more capable machine could get better screenshots then I could get.

Looking good, AC fan but will not hesitate buying this.
 
nothing wrong with having both these titles, they both look like they are going to nail pc racing at last. Just hope they both have some serious content and a plethora of tuning option like Forza series...theres no doubting the visuals, they are tip top, but it must have a real deep layer to boot.

This is my main concern. Great visuals and sound is wonderful, but it really needs to come together into something with lots of replay value.

i don't change my record or opinion on the game as they don't fix what they should.the handling.its a great looking game but not like in the videos you see ! lets get that right first.

just look at that video for eg. you know why they show all the other angles that look great is because in driving position its just normal not much better looking than any other recent car game.

i brought that up before on their website. there was a collection of 120 screenshots 119 where from various great looking angles 1 was from driving position :p

i have the game. so like some of you i have played since the very start of it.

my op is it started amazing. handling was great .they then tried to go to deep on handling with many things they couldn't get right. which i still cant understand seeing as they releasing this mainly for consoles like wii u :confused: then they meandered around for a year updating cars to the game tracks. handling got no better even though many said what was wrong or bad about it.

thing is within the last six months assetto has come along stolen all that is great about cars and just done it better.

come november i do hope they have got their act together as i do love good car games. as said i already own it so why would i not want it to do well ? i just don't want half harry type games from people i expect great things from people. especially if they are talented.
 
I can never get my graphics looking anywhere near to what I see in videos, it's good but not great. The problem is trying to find the right settings, there are probably 100s of combinations of settings, add to that some cars and tracks aren't fully finished which just adds to the frustration.
 
I have a confession to make - I'm an idiot!

I joined the Project C.A.R.S. forum a while back and forgot about paying to get access to the updated builds (Didn't bother, as my old PC was awfully slow.....)

Is there anyway for me to get in on the action, now? Many thanks in advance :)

Unfortunately not. The investigation stopped at the beginning of the FSA investigation. You'll have to wait until its released.
