*******C.A.R.S - Community Assisted Race Sim*********

Will be running another server tonight if you guys are up for it. I will limit the number to 20 players, if we have plenty of people i can increase it to 30 if needed.

The server will be password protected. If you have any friends that are good clean racers then please invite them along.

Time : 8:30pm ish Tonight.
Server Name : OcUK Cup
Password : hairpin


It will be a mix of cars, tracks and weather. We will all have the same car to keep things fair. Will probably run 10-15 mins qualify and then 7-10 lap race depending on track.
 
Does anyone else think it's weird that the Server won't show up if there's a Race/Qualifying/Practice going on, which effectively means you can only 'see' specific Servers in-between stuff actually happening, they should show up and just let you sit in the Lobby or something.
 
I actually didnt know it did that but its handy to know. What i'll doo tonight it get the server up and running and then give everyone a bit of time to get in.

My main gripe is either people cant press "drive" because its locked for whatever reason or the game disconnects people just before the race starts

This explains why I can run on a 6970 with no problem and have been bamboozled as to the problems people have been reporting.

No personal experience here just what I was reading on another hardware related forum.

I did say "apparently" :P

Maybe it's not the amd drivers causing the crashes but a soundcards drivers or something

Once you've found your level against the AI then they'll give you a race.

I think the AI still needs more work, they are too slow in some corners and unrealistically fast in others. They struggle to pass you cleanly if you shut the door and I've seen them cut corners to pass.

There's nothing to unlock, there's no money, no car buying and no tuning.

The career mode is basically staring at the bottom and working your way up. One race weekend at a time. Or starting at the top and trying to stay there, one race weekend at a time.

It's a driving sim, so it's tries to be fairly realistic in terms of its career mode.

Mine craft looks near photo realistic if you take a 1920x1080+ image shrink it to 640px × 330px and play with photoshop. ;)
