Arsenal v Villarreal - Bring it on...Gooners are going to Paris!!

You shouldn't have said that mate, if it all goes pear shaped, people on here will haunt you for years.

Milan rode their luck today, but they've got a good chance to make amends for last year now.

-- Didnt deserve to win.
-- Dont ever count Sheva out. The last few mins he just played out of his skin. Making one goal, and scoring a second.
-- 2 Records broken. Top ever European goalscorer for Sheva, and Inzaghi hitting 52 goals, putting him above DiStefano.

/awaits reaction from you lot. ;) :p

& why has Gilly been demoted again?

first reaction is sheva got to 52.

Inzaghi got to 51 putting him ahead of di stefano. unless the horrendous ITV commentators were mistaken.

Not sure.
His first goal put him on 51 i thought. His second on 52. Either way, he's now above DiStefano.

Lyon may have had the better of the play, but I would argue why that means they deserved the victory if they were unable to put their chances away. Milan only needed one clear chance to seal the game.

Not too gutted tonight. Glad Milan went through in the end. Milan took their chances. What a sensation Inzaghi has been of late, was glad he was in the starting line-up tonight, well he had to be! PSV all over again for them. Must have been gutting for Lyon though after playing so well throughout the whole game. I could understand why Houllier brought Carew on as he saw the ariel threat was to be exploited but unfortunately di not pay off for them. Well done Milan anyway for not giving up. Good thing Maldini is back, hope the Stam injury is not that bad, he just got back! Costacurta just cant cut it, tonight proved it really. Serginho was blinding tonight for his age, some of his runs were superb.
Congratulations to Sheva, here’s to the most consistent player in the world.

Unlucky Inter, could have gone through at the death as well :( Still, I'm not that disappointed as Milan are still through. For some reason I am extremely confident in Juve pulling through tomorrow night. I can feel something amazing happening for Juve.

hmm in which case he would have been the first person to number 1 ?

and sheva and inzaghi would be equal top strikers in european cup history on 52 each ?

ahh i see, so sheva has 52 european cup goals hence is now number one all time scorer in that comp.

Inzaghi has 52 goals in all european cup competition ?

Sheva has far more than 50, afaik. He hit 50 ages ago.

Could do with finding the most up-to-date all time European scoring charts, but they arnt easyily findable for some reason.
