Cages outside pub?

Haha, not as bad as Salford pubs. We have gas chambered doors with cameras

iamdjdz advice is very accurate, and very useful, agree entirely.

In the bad old days many pubs has similar protection, as it stopped someone running past bouncers with a gun shooting occupants and running out. Thankfully times have changed, and thankfully for the most part folks who went to that pub still do, and stay away from the main population.

Hey, I made it back home alive :p

Belfast was awesome and the hostel wasn't as bad as those reviews made out. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean enough.

Thanks to iamdjdz and all the others with advice, had a great time and will most likely be back again :D

went in one similar to that when I visited a couple of years ago - no windows etc... - was daytime prob about 9am or so when we went and the guy we were with who was showing us around just banged on the door and a few mins later some fat chick just let us in - was apparently the closest place to get served at that time in the morning - was completely empty and the fat chick and her skinhead husband/co-worker/fellow inbred just stared at us from across the bar whole time we were there.

No sense of humour either - they had a few small posters up saying "we support the IDF" along with an Israeli flag etc... and one of the lads asked if it was a jewish pub or something .... - didn't go down well at all...

we basically had one drink and decided it might be best to not go there again

I knew this would be about Belfast.

Had a great time there, we spent most of our time in the pubs near the Crown, Fibber McGees etc, not far from the Travelodge in town. Have a good time.

Going back in March, can't wait!

No, it's definitely settled down now, but some people on here had me concerned! haha

Spent most of the time in the Crown, Bennedicts, Lavery, never made it to M Club and only found the Stiff Kitten as we were making our round about way to the airport.
