Funny guy. An awful lot of calipers that I have run on my cars before really don't get very warm at all. I was asking what I deemed to be a sensible question...........
They will look gash in any colour apart from black (to hide them) or silver (which they are from new). It's no different to painting brake drums a bright colour.
I have yet to decide on a colour. Here are two potential choices shown behind the wheels I have (On a 530i SE and a 540i Sport, although both are rear wheels):
Don't paint them red. That's what chavs do to their Saxo's. The above caliper looks good in red because it's clearly an aftermarket part, the standard caliper would look **** in red. Go for silver.

I disagree. My leon may have red brembos upfront, which is all well and good. But from the factory also came with red rear calipers, which are just standard VAG stuff, it would look toilet without the rear calipers red too.
