Call of Duty Black ops 4 (PC)

Nov. 21 Update: QUAD FEED, Spawn Adjustments, Auto-Mantle Option, and more
It’s Quad Feed time! Now live on all platforms, everyone gets 2XP in MP and Zombies, 2X Tier Boost, 2X Merits, and 2X Nebulium Plasma through 10AM PT Monday, Nov. 26. We love a long holiday weekend, and what better way to celebrate?

Also in today’s game update, we’ve made two highly-requested changes: adjustments to spawns in round-based respawn modes on all platforms, and an option to toggle Auto Mantle (now live on PS4 and Xbox, coming soon on PC). Here’s a note on each from the dev team:

Spawns

We've identified and resolved an issue with the spawn logic in round-based respawn game modes. This specific issue particularly affected Domination and Control after the first round, in which the spawn system would improperly assess enemy proximity when selecting a respawn location. While this doesn't resolve all issues that we’re currently tracking to improve with the spawn system, it should reduce the overall percentage of bad spawns experienced in these modes, specifically in rounds two and higher.

Auto Mantle Toggle

We've added an option to toggle Auto Mantle in the Controls options menu, now set to “Off” by default. Toggling Auto Mantle on will allow you to mantle without pressing the jump button again when jumping toward a surface that you intend to mantle onto. Toggling Auto Mantle off will require you to hold the jump button to mantle onto your intended surface, or press the jump button once you've reached the surface you intend to mantle onto.

Speaking of movement options, we've also heard the requests for an Auto-Sprint option for console players, and are currently working on getting that into the game after it's been put through proper testing. When enabled, this will allow you to double-click your left analog stick to allow your character to automatically sprint without further input. Keep an eye out for future announcements regarding this feature.

Our latest PC title update also went live earlier today, which includes yesterday’s global changes as well as PC-exclusive updates. Get the full details at our dedicated PC community update. Now, onto what’s new today...

Auto Mantle toggle about time this was added. I was getting sick of the amount time you just auto stuck onto things.

Had my best game of blackout last night , 4 kills and finished 4th all done with the spitfire . I think I have found my gun !

I am lucky to kill one person normally .

I find its pretty hopeless unless you hit head shots or have the extended mag. With the mag it's pretty decent close range.

What is your best gun may I ask ?

It depends how you want to try and play. For instance, with closing in round the edges sitting back a lot, you wouldn't want to ideally play the long range game with 5mm ar with a shotgun secondary. Likewise, being aggressive pushing more mid circle early, you wouldn't want a 7mm ar with a sniper secondary unless your aim is really decent. The 5mm ars like the maddox do strike a good balance between different play styles though, so if your in a mixed group in quads where there's hardly any coordination you can't go far wrong. Armor is just as important as the weapon in a lot of engagements unless you get the jump on someone.

Thanks for the info . You sound like you are pretty handy at this !

I do enjoy the spitfire close up, but the way they ballanced it feels like ars are pretty much just as good close up.

The spitfire can put some serious damage down though if you are accurate with it!

If you're struggling with getting kills and into late game, try and play less aggressive making sure not to push towards the circle too early. Don't engage fights unless you have the jump on them or you're fairly well geared. Don't land in popular spots at round start if you can. Try a 5mm ar and fight mid range with a saug or similar close range. 2-3* scope on ar, with the holo types on saug. Make use of the concussion/9 bang to engage. Cluster knocked enemies. Always move as a team in quads even if you don't agree with the tactic, flanking is fine. Try and get the high ground on enemies. Don't engage with no cover to support you. Make use of the perks, in particular paranoia, dead silence and awareness. Always keep your health topped up to 150 or trauma to 200. Make use of the barrier in buildings as well as the wire and mesh mines. Use smokes for extra cover. Loot enemies as fast as possible, go prone without cover.

You have to accept in quads that some people play in fairly well organised groups and their aim is good. You're also likely to get 1 in your group that thinks he's rambo and die within 60 seconds of round start and in turn screwing your chances slightly :D

Don't let getting tanked most games put you off either. The skill gap between a lot of people is actually pretty small so the better player regularly dies, just overall less often. There's a number of streamers who have commented on this and its why they don't play such games, in particular the fortnite crowd with huge skill gap. It's very difficult to consistently carry in blackout unless your aim is incredibly good.

I've encountered one person who was definitely dodgy in MP, I wasn't the only one on the team complaining and they finally left.

The others I think are just very good/lucky.

It does depend on the situation and weapon mods but I personally find the following

Close range KN-57\Cordite (one grip, Laser site, Stock, Silencer, Extended mag, Holo)
Mid range KN-57(Both grips, Stock, Silencer, Extended mag, 3x or 4x scope)
Long range Rampart\Paladin\Koshka

The spitfire is good for about 3 seconds but you REALLY need to land your shots else you are screwed as it simply fires far too fast which is why I prefer the cordite. 60 round clip really with the same damage as the Sptifre but slower ROF and easier to handle
