** Call of duty ghosts (MW4) **

last proper game that Activision made was Cod4 after that they stopped caring for the COD community and went more with the "fun" public games rather then competitive ones... miss the old Cod2/4 times :/

See, as a Quake player i would consider all COD games 'fun public games' lol. I do get what you mean though am just being a bit of an elitist tit.

Thing that winds me up is that they rehash this game every year with some diff skins/maps/perks and people cant wait to lap it up. Why would they bother doing anything innovative when all the casuals/console gamers will fill their pockets.

My brother (a console gamer) bought some bloody pack that came with a radio controlled helicopter for 100 odd quid? why? jesus.

You hit the nail on the head, they are releasing the game what the masses seem to want, which is the basically the same game every year. As long as people keep on buying the games at the same volume they are now, why would they change what seems to work very well for them?

Well i missed a couple of CODS so going to buy this one. I only really play 2 game modes and thats Hardcore FFA and Hardcore S&D with a group of Friends on Vent/TS its great fun.

I don't really enjoy the vehicle aspects of BF series, it just kills it for me.

just save money play cod 4 its 6 quid if you haven't already got it. still stacked with people and almost perfect fps gameplay. the hit reg is still probably the best in any fps.

This is a thread for ghosts, I'm sure people would play cod4 if they wanted to play cod4.

Audio as well. PS3 version will be probably at least 25GB because it can do high quality audio.

That seems conjecture at the moment especially considering that the PS3 version of Black Ops 2 was 15GB. If the game has a 50GB install IW must have seriously cocked up somewhere as it would be one of the largest game installs ever. Lets be realistic as well, how much content will be in the game? A short campaign with 15 or so multiplayer maps, I can't see how they would fill 50 GB.

maybe its all the dlc which is then just "unlocked" when you buy it.

sneaky sneaky

I think those NVIDIA specs may be true. For a few years now pc gamers have been begging devs to stop giving us dumbed down 360/ps3 ports. Now we finally see a vast improvement and the initial reaction on this thread is NVIDIA are trolling us. Maybe with these next gen ports we will finally see a big jump in quality. Don't think the 360 version will require 7 DVDs though as it will be a much inferior version.

Also at the bottom of that article it's noted that the ps4 killzone is close to 50GB. Is it a case of be careful what you wish for with smallish ssd's and recommeded GTX 780?

The 360 will be on one disc, might have another for an install but that is it. Just read the article and I've found the reason why "Nvidia has in recent months made a song and dance about playing PC games at 4K resolution, and one of the titles it's name-checked as part of this effort is Call of Duty: Ghosts" This makes much more sense now as you do really need something top end play 4k. Also the recommend GPUs for BF4 are a 7870 & a 660 and is COD Ghosts really going to look that much better than BF4?

One word; nonsense!!

Bare in mind that the storage needed for raw texture detail doesn't just double as you increase resolution a 512x512 texture takes up 4x what a 256x256 one does. So assuming say the average texture was 512x512 and they decided to increase it so the average became 2048x2048 that would be a huge jump in stored data.

I do doubt that you will need anything close to a GTX 780 to play on ultra settings But my SLI GTX 260's are starting to show their age now. I can't run BO2 maxed out :(

Does anyone know what the scorestreaks will be like in this game?

I liked MW3 where you had the option to have kills tallied up so you could chose some decent killstreak rewards even if you get killed every few kills.

None of the others seemed to have this option.
