Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022)

I didn't enjoy the driving mission, dragged on a bit. I hope there's not too much of that in the rest of the game. TBH I'm only really playing the single player mode for the multiplayer operator and blueprint unlocks.

I've just done finished the driving mission and it's easily the worst of the game by far. I am enjoying the campaign it feels a lot like a movie with how the story is being told.

Finished it on veteran enjoyed most of it bar the driving section it was awful. Also I too wasn't keen on the levels that required you to craft stuff.
Thats the one i meant, It was plain BAD, too long with badly placed checkpoints and the jumping to other cars was janky as all hell.

Everyone needs to stop Pre-Ordering this crap. Then maybe they might be forced into making a semi decent COD single player experience.

I finished it last night. I liked the story and how it told, like I said before it does feel like a movie at times. The driving mission, the crafting one and the boss ones were just pants though. The driving one felt amateurish compared to the polish of the rest of the game, the crafting was alright but out of place so wasn't really much fun. I suspect the only reason these missions are in the game as they might be mechanics coming to DMZ so to try and get people comfortable with them beforehand.

I get your point but MW2019 remake campaign was brilliant and original MW1,2,3 were all good so it's fair to say we would have expected them to nail thus particular entry

There can't be many people that buy cod for the single player content tbh.
They have done some fun campaign's, I mean not all of them will be good of course.

Black Ops 1 had a good campaign, as much as advance warfare wasn't liked muti player wise its campaign again was fun.

Oh I totally agree, I forgot to quote the poster that I was responding to with regards to pre ordering :)

The Infinite Warfare, Advance Warfare and the MW2019 campaigns are excellent.

I'm just doing the sniping mission, it's worthwhile playing up to this point. Only gripe is on a couple of occasions the npc's have frozen in place meaning that I couldn't carry on and ultimately had to start the entire level (happened on the helicopter crash mission), and also I've had a few times that checkpoints haven't triggered so when I've died it's sent me back quite a long way.

I'm really not sure how I feel about £100 pre-order. What ever happened to the days of queueing up outside Game at midnight with a maccy D's and a few mates, garnished with £34.99

You can grab a key for cheaper than retail from cdkeys if you're not bothered by physical.

*edit. Sorry, it seems prices have creeped back up again over the last couple of days. Still cheaper, marginally.

An increase in costs , games now cost £70 new and them bundling in digital stuff pushed prices up.

Those midnight launches were great though.

Do you feel the additional digital content included in special edition versions of games actually cost the developer anything extra to produce, and is the hike in price worth a few skins and weapon blueprints?

Whilst I accept costs to produce content have increased in some ways, in others the cost has gone down. Additionally, more efficient and effective ways of working reduce costs further. Likewise revenue loss from piracy is also very limited (a previous excuse for increasing prices).

Feels more like a “new console, new price” opportunistic move rather than anything grounded in economics, particularly given the extraordinary profits made by franchises like CoD.

The £100 version is just a season pass pre-order no?

It's a combination of greedy publishers and idiots that are happy paying stupid prices like that.
