Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

Am I the only one who doesn't use loadouts? I like the guns in the game as is!

Seriously i'm rank 90 now and don't have any custom loadouts and have not even changed my appearance. I find the menu and millions of options in warzone to be infuriating!

I felt the same until I spent some time looking into it.
If you are not using loadouts, you are missing out on all perks and will be at a huge disadvantage.

As said above. Massive disadvantage.

e.g. Having a different loadout with Overkill perk get you your two primary weapons. Then a seperate loadout with Primary, launcher and Ghost. You can then have your 2 primary and ghost if you get 2 loadouts. HR sensor for Warzone is a must really, for other game modes I dont really use it apart from Search and destroy. Othertimes i'll use flashbang instead.

I use different loadouts depending on the map and game mode. e.g. sniper as secondary is good for some maps, but not all.

I was the same as you at first, then I started customising weapons and found it as fun as actually playing the game! I have spent quite a lot of time customising the guns to how i want them, changing and creating different loadouts, using different perks based on maps / game modes and trying different kill streak options

Another example is strange customisations to weapons - AK47 with no stock and 8x scope. I high powered deadly sniper rifle... but loads of recoil.

Or my current primary weapon favourite, Uzi with FFS carbine barrel, no stock, Cronen C480! People have commented "what are you doing with that scope on that gun, you're stupid... bla bla bla" Then I proceed to get a 14 kll kill streak and they all pipe down :D

I don't know what I was missing but I really hate the Uzi.

I've almost completed my 'No Life' Damascus! Just need to destroy 35 more Kill Streaks with the JOKR and I'll finally be able to play the game normally again!

Yep, and a noticeable difference in load times between 2.5" SSDs and an NVME SSD. I just moved my installation from my NVME drive to an SSD RAID array and it definitely seems less snappy loading maps and textures. God help anybody running it off a rust drive!

Glad it's not just me! I can appreciate the map is huge but the texture loading in this game is pretty awful. Will see how the SSD handles it tonight.

I might experiment with the Uzi. :)

I agree on loadouts - you need the right tools for the job and tactically needs change based on map and game type. I run the overkill perk so I can have sniper capability as well as assault rifle capability. It confuses some players when they come get me after I have sniped them and they get mown down with an M4 or run into a mine :p

It also helps to help decamp a campy area from afar.

Only just started playing with mines. They are awesome - I dont know why everyone isnt using them! I run overkill, ghost and shrapnel with munitions box.

Mines against walls on corners are so OP, particularly on Shoot House. They are pretty good on Rust also.

Also for throwing at people close range :D

My load times on NVME are great. Often first in and very little texture pop on higher settings too.

Very impressed to be honest. So much so I think I may invest in another.

I usually have thermite. Great for throwing into small rooms, blocking capture points in domination and at those pesky turds who use shields. Instant kill with direct thermite, even on Warzone games

Im interested in one but my motherboard m2 slot only works up to pcie 2x instead of 4x. It also automatically disables 2 of the sata3 ports... and costs money. Maybe ill invest in a 2tb one for games

Yup, even my lowly Samsung Evo 970 makes a massive difference. I'm sorely regretting cheaping out on the 500GB model!

For reference, my BR Trios squad consists of my two brothers who are Xbox One players using external HDDs and I'm usually in the warmup ages before them when I'm on NVME. When I'm on SSD they drop in much less later.

A friend of mine keeps 2 basic loadouts with 1 of his 2 favourite weapons in each loadout + pistol and doesn't take overkill.

Normally by the time you get a loadout you've got one half decent weapon so he just chooses the complimentary loadout and swaps the pistol straight away.

Quick question re DirectX Ray tracing setting : is it best on or off on a 1080ti? How much does it impact performance?
Depends what res and if you are limiting fps. 3440x1440 i limit to 90fps for 100hz gsync. On 1080ti i went from 70-90fps most of the time with ray tracing off to 20 - 60fps with ray tracing on.
So as said, off and very much so.
If you’re at 1080p and limit to 60fps it might not have any hit at all

Guys I have a question : I play warzone on pc it’s the free version I play only ie warzone and plunder and I am ranked 125, I have 3 load out with all perks I want but my 4th weapon is ax50 and desperately working hard to get perks I want as its still only at rank 31. But now I am thinking of just buying the game from
A reliable for just £34.99 but will I lose all my weapons and rank and stats and be starting afresh like back on rank 1? I am unsure

Nope - I ranked up a lot before buying the full game and didn't lose any ranks.
