I tried Cold War a couple of times and really wanted to like it. It's hard to though, the engine / mechanics and whole feel of it is just really poor in comparison to Modern Warfare. Even the guns and scopes are not modelled to the same quality.

In other news, it sounds like Resurgence island could be mixed into the main Verdansk map. I think this would be awesome, open the sea out to the island and have boats

That sounds good. I had read the new map will be the size of the full existing map image. So verdansk + the water. Should be a good bit larger.

Many of you still playing warzone? Been playing it mainly on my own the last few nights. Randoms, who dont speak is still annoying as ever on BRs. Any of you hang on a discord for this? I did check the old OCUK server but no one ever in the rooms for COD these days from what I can see.

I only play Solos on my own, or Plunder on my own if I want to level guns doing contracts with double xp enabled. I also like being a solo annoying sniper in Plunder popping heads of those actually playing the game.

Rebirth and resurgence was a nice change for a while. Do prefer a faster pace to the game

I upgraded froman EVGA 2080Ti to 3080 FE.
445.87 driver is not supported on 3080 so went with 460.89.
I was getting screen freezes (screen would just freeze) but could alt tab and alt+ctrl+del yesterday. Thought it was my GPU overclock to set that to stock but it still happened.

It seems the Geforece experience filters do not work properly with the newer drivers (I tried the latest 461.09 too) Turning off the game filter sesens to have fixed it and doesnt cause a crash or hasnt so far in 3 games of plunder. Yesterday it crashed 3 times, once in each game.

Doing a bit of digging it seems the sharpen filter has something to do with it. I can live without the filter for now, even though it looks better with it on

Gsync/vsync I still set Gsync on in NCP, vsync on in NCP and have low latency mode disabled in game menu. FPS I limit to 90
I tried other settings like low latency mode on / ultra and unlimited fps in game menu but it seems to work best with a limit set and gsync and vsync forced on globally.

Happy to hear anyone elses 3080 drivers and settings who has a 100Hz Gsync monitor

I believe there are issues limiting FPS in the Cod settings, just run unlimited.

I noticed my filters weren't working - wasn't sure if it was a driver update or COD update. Without the filters it seems like sometimes I cant see squat in some of the darker areas!

Edit: you can probably leave it on unlimited and use vsync on in game with reflex set to 'enabled' and it should auto cap a few below monitor refresh - 116 in my case on 120Hz display.

What's the cap on 144hz monitors? 141hz?
I noticed there was a new Nvidia driver out today possibly. I got a pop up on my laptop this afternoon to update.
I think I'm already on 461.33 which was out last week or so.

What issues? I've been using a 90fps in game menu cap since I started playing it and not had any problems

When I tried this is felt 'strange' Almost like vsync or gsync was switched off. FPS was 100, so exactly the same as gsync monitor refresh

Doesn't sound like it is working then, should be capping about 138 for a 144Hz, 116 for 120Hz - no clue what it would be for 100Hz display

Actually, just tried that again now and it seems to work perfectly. NCP Gysnc on, Vsync on (forced) and Low latency mode off (default)
In game menu FPS unlimited, Vsync on, Reflex enabled.
97/98FPS and much better. Maybe the Geforce experience filters were throwing if off before, seems as they caused the crashing too.

With this custom fan curve the max i've see is 63c (51% fan speed) so a lot quieter than my 2080Ti, but then I suppose it will be as im not pushing it too hard.

Made for an intresting drop as I disable ALT tab when gaming because I use ALT for Push to talk. So had to sit there laughing at the weirdo. He left after a minute or two and didnt evben tell me his name

Is it possible to turn the volume down (or off) on 'announcements' e.g. in plunder the 'Airplan cash drop incoming' 'ememy attack chopper' and cash deposit notifications and effects?

I don't mind them coming up on screen in the oversized banners but I find it highly annoying whilst im listening for enemies and get a booming noise followed by an "Airplan cach drop incoming" I don't care. Just let me continue trying to wipe / annoy a quads team by myself

I believe thats under the Dialog volume slider in audio
