I too tried Coldwar on the free days. I tried two matches before I uninstalled it. To me it felt like a highly unpolished, slightly better looking but with worse movement CSGO.
How people play it and say its good i will not know. The thing is, I really want / wanted to like it and was willing to pay the £50 for it. Modern Warfare has been easily worth £50. Hell, over lockdown in entertainment terms id have paid £1500 for it!

I agree totally with your comments about Cold War, I bought the original Black ops game when it came out and loved it but didn't buy any of the sequels until Cold War.
It's like a cartoon version of MW, the only reason I play it is to either rank guns up or unlock new weapons in muktiplayer, I would much rather play MW multiplayer but needs must ;)

went back to the m1 last night it still feels slow but not as much as the others I used

Agree with you guys about CW, however I got it for around £20 simply to level up weapons in multiplayer, that's all!
 
Time to kill is in a good place with this game. And so many guns are now viable. Patch notes said they are looking at original guns next so hopefully movement buff to bring in line with CW guns.

I am currently enjoying using the M4A1 again at the moment

Good. Some of the Cold War attachments made the ARs like high powered SMGs :rolleyes: No wonder everyone was using them. I personally feel the Cold War weapons receive better stats on purpose though, to push the sales of Cold War so people may buy it to level up weapons and/or spend more COD points on blueprints

The weapons now at least feel more balanced and I can tell already. People are using ones other than the AMAX and FARA. In the past few Warzone games ive seen people using the AMAX, FFAR, FARA, AK47, M4A1, Bruen 60, PKM & Kilo

Persoanlly im using my trusty M4A1 and JAK12 in close combat games, MP5 / HDR in close/long and M4A1 / HDR out in open land. I use all 10 loadouts, a couple of test ones, some are weapon and ghost only, a couple of overkill and one fully loaded.
I quite like my friends loadout stategy of all different and he takes a 'lucky dip' :D

They do seem to stack lots of weapons to encourage sales

It's a slow process to level them up as well


Going to try the M13 tonight was using the mp5's yesterday in plunder and both performed well
 
I have Cold War (which i quite like - (sorry) when my Warzone mates aren't on) but do you think it's worth getting Modern Warfare now - even though its a few years old?? When they do a deal? Do people still play it online?

You need to hit headshots with the M13, especially at long range

It has a good head shot multiplier, but the rest of the damage profile is akin to tickling them with a feather

As other have said, the M13 is good very low recoil but also low damage compared to the Kilo, Grau and M4A1. The Kilo and Grau are great but Kilo is on the slight heavy side with the standard mono, long barrel, underballel and VLK3x. The M4A1 is a good all rounder and also fast fire rate to a bit better if needed up close.

Yes, shoot the ship is very fun and so easy to level weapons up. Its also a few years old but seems like 15 years newer than Cold War. The down side, I expect that if you get Modern Warfare, you will never play Cold War again :D

Yea it's still very popular, keep an eye on cd key sites for deals.

I will be playing MW until at least BF6 comes out I'm sure.

get about 30% headshots by the stats but that seems consistent with my battlefield stats tend to fire a lot of full auto bursts

at my age the old CS player has abandoned me

switched to the m4a1 last night and happier

There'll be hackers there still, perhaps not as many, but still there. Its a very sad testiment to the mentality of some gamers that cheating is a need for them rather than a want. My dropping of MW the moment BF6 is even 50% good is mostly to do with how I think that MW/Warzone has hugely deteriorated since I started playing it. That plus the whole money grabbing mtx annoys me, I know that BF6 will likely have some too but if there is one company on this planet who already make an insane amount of money every month (from WoW subscriptions) without barely needing to do a thing, its Activision/Blizzard, all companies want a good profit obviously, but when you are already getting tens of millions every month from WoW subscriptions alone (not to mention the $5 billion they paid basically for Candy Crush), it borders on greed rather than profit.
