Hmmm, do you have a custom loadout for a Finn LMG? There was a game bug ~6-12 months back where if you had a Finn LGM custom loadout it crashed the game going into the menu. I managed to get in and delete my Finn loadout then it was fine

No, but I do have that new LMG in a loadout. I've been trying to get in and change it but the cursor just freezes as soon as operator dude appears. Aarghhhh!

I could always try logging in as you, remove the lmg then log out. Quite trusting of course but change the pw before & after
 
Thanks for the offer Guest2. I think I may have solved the problem. I managed to get to my loadouts and set my favourite as one from MW. There was also a small update this morning. Haven't read the patch notes so not sure which has put things right but it hasn't crashed since.

Val is pretty good but need to make sure you hit shorts or the 30 round max will punish you. I like to run either MP5 with long range AR like Fara/Krig/M4A1 or faster movement AR with sniper - XM4 or lower mag M4A1. Might give the Val & Sniper combo another shot

I took out a team of 4 on my own yesterday, AS VAL loaded with stopping power and they all ran in a straight line rather than spreading apart, was easy pickings :p
