Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

Loadouts behind stronghold sounds rubbish and will annoy people.
This part made it for me "Verdansk will be returning at some point":)
Slide cancelling get rid of - great
Firing range - great
Strongholds with AI - will be rubbish as the AI 'guards' that were in Caldera
How they change guns to all only have 5 attachments will be interesting

Edit. What has happened to Vanguard Royale? Did they realise no-one gave a crap about it and probably didnt play/spend money in it so got rid?

All guns only had 5 attachments prior to vanguard, so It will just be back to normal seeing as none of these guns will be ported over.

I know. The best guns IMO were Modern Warfare. It started going downhill when Cold War weapons were introduced
I meant it would be interesting if they change the Vanguard guns to only allow 5 attachments, but balance them somehow with MW and CW guns. I wouldnt have thought they get rid as people will not be able to use (and pay for) all the different Vanguard blueprints & packs

Warzone 2 is a fresh start. No blackops guns or vanguard guns. New map, MW 2 guns only.

To be fair it needs a clean break. Stupid how world war 2 guns are the complete meta. It's like a 100 years technology does not count :D

I am quite excited by MW2 and the fact it will have 2 years of support.

MW was such a good game and they shot themselves in the foot having to shoe horn in Black Ops which was pants in comparison.

Unsure what vanguard even is. Lacking everything really, a WW2 game with again shoe horned attachments and sights that did not exist.

So you can 100% certifiably say they have never used cheats? You'd swear by it?

I've seen many of these guys play without being a "BOT" or paying "Rent"

Yes

The fact you can't see it tells me a few things:

  • You can't comprehend/understand the seriousness of professional e-sports. Including the associated contracts, liabilities and profits
  • You don't understand aim assist properly
  • You can't comprehend the difference between a Thursday evening 5 a side player (You) and a Premier League footballer
  • The weirdness, tricks and general oddities of the IW COD engine are unknown you
It takes quite frankly an unreasonable amount of time to get that good and you also need to be young/genetically gifted, just like any sport. The difference is Warzone allows professionals to mix it with people way below their skill level.

Have there been professionals caught cheating? Absolutely. Does that mean all other pro's are cheating? Of course not.

I don't agree with removing slide cancelling - I like there to be some movement tricks to learn to increase the skill ceiling. I'd personally like the movement to be the same as MW2019 but a bit faster across the board.

Na get rid of it. It's ridiculous watching se sweat box spending more time sliding than actually running. It simply shouldn't be a thing or at least if it was there is some sort of penalty for doing it like slow ads or unable to shot for a while after. They could add that to bunny hopping too

Fair enough - happy to agree to disagree! I just won't buy the game if the movement is too basic. I'm not one of those types who has to have the latest game (I'm still playing MW19 and didn't buy CW or Vanguard).

Maybe keep the movement there but have a penalty for doing it repeatedly

I'm not convined. Keep it similar to movement in real life and same for the guns and damage.
No one in real life ever slide cancels or jumps around corners to better their aim at people. They just make it some jumping and sliding (and jumping over things) uses energy which gets depleted then you run slower and have worse accuracy and more recoil when shooting. The opposite to how it is now with everyone hopping around to not get shot and jumping around corners to increase ADS speed - It's rather stupid really.

Similar to the WW2 guns like the M1928/M1912 which I think is supposed to be a Thompson. That thing in realy life has way more recoil and is nowhere near as accurate as something like an M4A1. Same with the Cooper Carbine. I really hope Warzone 2 / Modern Warfare 2023 or whatever its called will stick to all new weapons with realistic attachments.

What would be nice but will probably never happen is realistic damage, i.e. you get shot in the head, you die. Leg shots should reduce movement speed, arm shots should reduce accuracy, chest shots should do something similar or kill if he in certain areas. Weapons should have accurage range (to a degree) Maybe base an AR on having 600m kill range, but say all ranges are realistic /2, so 300m for an AR. SMG and pistols 150m and have snipers at 800m - 3000m but harder to shoot.
I think the damage models on Soldier of fortune and SOF2 were more realistic that COD in 2022

I guess they could have a separate playlist like that if they are going down the tarkov style mode. Possibly like a hardcore version of Warzone.
I would imagine a lot of player base would leave if it no longer was an arcade shooter.

I don't care about realism - if I did then I'd play a realistic mil-sim. You really want every weapon to be a 1 hit kill to the head? Realistic damage would also mean the you'd be pretty much out of action with any hit to the body as well. It would slow down the gameplay to, well, realistic levels, which is to say staying behind cover for hours because someone is aiming a weapon at you.
