Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

IS MW2 the game you would play the most? if so a Radeon card would be a better idea surely?
It's the game I'm playing the most at the moment but that can change.

I have a bit of a vendetta against AMD from their ATI days so I don't really want to go that route. Plus my monitor and TV are both G-Sync so I'll stick with Nvidia.

I've just jumped ship to an 7900 XTX from my 3080 - hopefully getting it installed over the weekend. Its 90% of my game time in this game and that card runs it faster than a 4090 so hoping for some good things :)

I'm sure AMD are fine these days and my grudge is almost a decade old but once I hold a grudge, I hold it for a long time lol. Doesn't help the last two monitors I've bought were both GSync/GSync Ultimate, so I've kind of locked myself into Nvidia for the next few years

They would likely also support Freesync so you would be fine anyway - I have a GSync monitor and it supports freesync - the days of the lock in are gone I thought.

Potentially, but I'm still not ready to give AMD my money just yet. They burned me pretty bad with the old Radeon HD5870 Black Editions, I had two. It was the first time I went ATI in a while and I ran straight back to Nvidia after and haven't looked back since.

Though Nvidia are far, far away from being the savour I need!

There does appear to be more people experiencing crashes with AMD cards in this game as well, particularly when you factor in their market share.
My game has been pretty solid with my 3080 so I am interested to see what happens with the new card. I've only got a 750w powersupply so Im not going to push the overclock but it should run well hopefully

That’s probably less to do with the Akimbo pistols being OP and more to do with people grabbing a late game loadout box, particularly straight from the gulag.

There’s always been meta load outs in any game, from PUBG to Warzone. With Warzone2 specifically this seems to also marry up with input device; the RPK is rife amongst controller players as the slow rate of fire/very low recoil make it an exceptional long range gun. I always look to steal a modded RPK or Taq whenever I can.

I do find the nerf to snipers in WZ2 a little unbearable. A headshot won’t down a player with 3 plates, yet the vests are so common virtually every player has one immediately. The same with Self Revives, people being able to stow self revives results in a considerable amount of players having 2 or 3 in their bag! Adding in controller players being able to dominate medium-to-long range fights with the RPK as well (you can’t snipe when constantly getting flinched), snipers have take a back seat in this.

I’ve been enjoying using the Signal 50 to get kills but this sniper is very unique as it can be built to the power of a bolt action, whilst still retaining its semi auto fire-rate.

As much as I do enjoy it, the game has been completely designed around console player enjoyment and penalising kb&m players.

Did anyone notice a performance increase after yesterdays update? Not sure if it was an intentional thing, but I haven't altered any other setting on the PC but I'm now getting 160-180 fps everywhere and the game just seems to run so much smoother. Previously, even though my fps was about 150-160, it sometimes felt a bit stuttery.

One thing I did notice though, was previously my GPU usage was around 70-80% and now it is up in the high 90s.

I assume this is CoD and not anything else as it's the only thing I play... but mine since yesterday's update is randomly making my entire machine reboot itself. My temps are all normal and the game seems to be running fine but when in the menu and it's about to start a match it'll just reboot.

When was the last time you did a decent stress test on the CPU and RAM. A game should not be making your entire system reboot. I'm not saying it absolutely can't happen but there's usually something else going on if it isn't just a crash to desktop.

I've had issues before when I've assumed problems were related to an update due to the timing of it but it was just a coincidence and my system was no longer 100% stable.

Going for long-shot kills is tiring - feel like I can't do it on most maps so jumped onto a game of Invasion earlier and it's just a snipers camping paradise :(

My PC was doing that. No warning, just a complete loss of power then reboot. At first I wanted to blame CoD as it happened a lot with it but then it started happing occasionally on my desktop when doing nothing. Realised my trust AX1200i had given up the ghost. Luckily it was 3 months away from the end of the 10 year warranty so I'm in the RMA process

The easiest way is to watch a few YouTube vids on where to get the best MP long shot locations...
