Superb, is it cross platform? Seen something about this awhile ago and wasn't sure if it was true?

Also how big is the download, I'm running a 512GB at the present and looking to add extra storage next week?

Yeah you can have crossplatform play enabled allowing you to play with friends on different platforms. My folder is currently 147GB

Oh that's neat, no doubt they separate controller methods to make it fair play. Really appreciate your help and time, that's a pretty sizable folder. Might go ahead now and pull the trigger whilst on sale. Going to add more storage next week so will install then!
 
I can still hold my own in Quake 3 Arena and all the iterations after but with modern day shooters I'll find myself 99.9999% in the scenario of being killed by a guy to my side just split seconds before taking my shot.

What's blown me away with this game is using a controller on PC! I'd never have entertained it until my nephew came over and we played pass the controller a few times only to realize how much more fun it is. If you don't have 8+ hours a week to play and don't have the gear to play against Kevin R0xx0r on his 240Hz IPS HDR 4K Alienware monitor with his Glorious O Honeycomb mouse... :p then the controller brings back the fun.
 
Been awhile since I've played a decent FPS game on PC so it's inevitable I'm going to get slaughtered till I master it, I've got fairly decent gear to play this so hopefully I'll hold my own. Looking forward more so to the campaign but I'll be spending time in Ground War mode later.
 
Only ever use a controller for this on the PC which means I’m mostly playing XBox and PS gamers via Crossplay but I do see the odd PC player in game.

Can’t be doing with a M&K when playing from the sofa.
 
I've been hammering the shipment map lately since it's the best way to progress, but Ground War is my favourite mode by far. I'm becoming increasingly concerned about the player count on PC though, since most sessions consist entirely of veteran players.

Might give this a try with a controller soon but want to give K&M priority as this is my preferred method.

The sale might indicate that they're trying to increase the player count, but it doesn't seem to be working, since I've yet to see an influx of new players! Most sessions consist of people that are rank 100+, and that's with crossplay enabled! I expected to see more people just starting out, but unforunately that hasn't been the case.

Edit: They've just removed shipment and replaced it with shoot house 24/7. I can understand why they've done it, because people were grinding ranks, but it was incredibly fun! Big mistake imo.

cant believe they messed with shipment it was a lot of mindless fun. many people play cod for that very reason. understand why. the whole purpose or what you do in cod is play to rank up unlock. shipment makes that possible to rank up quicker. so by removing it prolongs people playing in theory as you rank up slower. once ranked fully and all unlocks why play ? the thing is if the most fun game mode map combo isnt on cod anymore why play ? think they will see player numbers drop fast after this update. stupid decision.

Finally got gifted this, had to wait 3 days due to the friend rule on Battle.net, looking forward to playing it, not too fond of the space requirements however.
 
I keep swapping between kbm and controller and find the console lobbys more campy and crouch walkers, but something about cod feels better with controller, weird as i prefer mnk on all other fps
 
I'm getting a disc read error 3.1 message now when I try launching the game, never had that one before. Anyone had it and how to fix? I've done all the normal, start the game in safe mode, repaired the installation files (no fix needed) disabled AV turned off overlays etc but still getting message.

Anything in event logs? Don’t think the game has been patched recently though
Have you updated any drivers or has windows update ran and updated anything?
 
I’m sick to death of event error crashes.

Doesn’t matter whether I do a fresh install or not, I can last a couple of games then it crashes.

It’s only started happening last couple weeks.
