Got it for £35 through Battle.Net. The app is awful though, MW III doesn't show on the list of owned games so assumed I needed to install MW. Turns out after installing 65gb of that it was the wrong thing and I just need to install CoD and a few clicks into doing that then pick MW III.

Found this when looking for a old file.
We've come a long way - who remembers 'seta snaps', 'hunkmegs', 'picmip', 'maxpackets' etc.?

Cod 2 2005 - Graphics settings showing character models :

Yes, we've moved a long way from semi accurate uniforms. Now ee get moronic neon whatevers with glowing halos, weird fire effects, etc. I wish they would just get back to proper uniforms, or just not bother with pretending it is a 'real' battlefield.

Quite enjoying this silly skins aside. I keep getting tearing, have max fps set to 165 which matches my monitor and the FPS is largely around that point but sometimes drops down to 100ish, would that cause it?

On an unrelated note what is it with people playing kill confirmed and not trying to get the tags? Just played a game where 3 people on my team had 2, 4 and 5 out of 60ish.

What settings, resolution and GPU are you using? I get drops to 70fps sometimes in Warzone on rebirth island using a 3090 Ti, 3440 x 1440 max settings, doft and blur off. Unless you playing in PS2 graphics mode like the pure sweats you wont hit 165 fps constantly.
I have my fps capped at 97 (100hz Gsync 3440 x 1440 monitor)

70 fps sounds rough, try setting the Basic preset then turning the texture quality back up to normal or high and use Fidelity FX CAS (Sharpening). Should look decent enough :p

Works fine on gsync, id rather have it it looking better and have used the same settings since Modern Warfare 2019 / Warzone release date (highest, 3440x1440, no dof)

On my Acer Predator Helios 300 laptop (i7 12700, 32gb ram, 3070ti) I've everything turned up with no dlss etc enabled and am hitting a fairly steady 95-110. It does drop at the very beginning of each game at the parachute drop but quickly recovers. This is while using a thunderbolt to dp converter to my 3440x1440 iiyama red eagle GB3467WQSU-B5.

Id have thought as 3070ti wouldnt cope as well as a 3090Ti in full desktop on the same settings and same res. Ive noticed the recommended driver is 546.29, time for me to update from 537.58
