Matt,
There is a separate thread on here somewhere about this very issue, but I can put your mind at rest:-
OPI - quick path interconnect, will fail on these proccessors as it is old technology and not supported on the Haswell E chips. So - if you go to settings or edit menu, can't quite remember which of the intel test program you can select edit and then untick the qpi path. You will then find you can run the full test, and it should pass ok. This is what I did on mine and it was fine.
Hope this helps
Mark
My new 5960X arrived and what do you know, no issues at all now. Lara no longer dies in the benchmark sequence, i don't get flickering in every 3d application. I had a faulty cpu, i don't believe it. I'm now doubting if any of those motherboards were faulty, maybe it was the cpu all along.
In other news my 4x290X 8gb cards have arrived, time to assault the benching threads! Happy days.![]()

Must admit I am surprised - no doubt you were after all the testing etc, but hey ho, at least all is now well.

It sounds like rubbish to me but then he does work in AMD's community propaganda department so why let an opportunity to smear Intel go to waste.
If the PCI-E hub was at all faulty you'd be getting all sorts of terminal GPU crashes.
