:eek: I genuinely missed that, sorry. Please note I'd taken the trouble to delete surnames, personal details etc - I didn't just "not bother". Fixed now - if Dons' images still have the swearie, it's a cached pic - the original HAS been overwritten on my server.

His mobile number is on his photography website so editing people's post with it in isn't going to do much.


Ring up his parents mate, tell them what has happened, if they ignore you or what ever contact the police as a group, all of you that have been scammed by him.


I think a lot of forums should work together, on a forum I'm a mod on, I've had to contact other forums where the scammer has been a member of to tell them to either ban the user or warn people.

AV Forums have a list of names, alias, bank account details that you shouldn't do deals with. Would be good to see a joint effort by forums with Members Markets to reduce the risk of serial scammers. :)

It won't get locked if people don't go overboard like they normally do.

There is good information here, use it wisely, don't abuse it.

Hope the people involved get things sorted.

Well I've just had more mail from Camoe.

Apparently he's watching this thread and he's not happy with me.

His answer? I'm apparently 'unbelievable' and 'where is he meant to get the money? Out of his anus?'.... I dunno Camoe; less beer on holiday maybe? Maybe you need principles first though. Or maybe it's just me?...

The story in a nutshell:

Camoe dealt with a few customers on here via the MM. All these members - as far as I'm aware - bought hard-drives off of him for an agreed sum. Camoe then preceeded to send the hard-drives via RM (2nd class?) in nothing more than a jiffy bag. All products arrived broken.

Camoe in his infinite wisdom then decided to create a thread in GD asking for the Dons to stop the other individuals from harrassing him. The mob descended.

Camoe has claimed that the goods were in full working order and RM is to blame for the damages and he cannot afford refunds as he "[...] is not a shop." and has rent, etc. to pay.

It was pointed out, that as a seller Camoe is responsible as he didn't package the goods properly. Likewise, he is morally responsible as a member of the community and as a human being. Indeed, the accusation was raised that Camoe may have even sent faulty goods and is trying to hide behind the RM. After throwing his toys out of the pram, he eventually conceeded to pay back the individuals concerned. Camoe then disappeared.
 
Camoe, just pay them the refunds. If you haven't got the cash now, come to an agreement to pay them the cash when you do. If you don't have a job, then sign on. If you do have a job, you have no excuse.

This is your mess, you fix it.
